This particular dash mount works perfectly at holding my Tom Tom 540TM GPS in place. The GPS is 5.0 inches bigger than any of my other GPS' and this dash mount is the best one I have ever used.

This company delivered it very fast and kept their promise to deliver it in a timely manner and as a quality product. The description and the picture is exactly what the product does and looks like. No problem ever ordering something from this company again. I would love to in the future.

bought a tom tom xxl the mount is no good so bought this mount it fits the tom tom like a glove,has more ways to angle the view than the mount that comes with tom tom. Tried it out on short trip and it did not move at all. if you have a gps,i pod what ever get this personal note this is bigger than photo looks and heavy.and you can adjust arms for depth as well as length
Up date loved it so much I bought one for my gps.

This thing is amazing. it holds my navigator in place and moves to any angle. I don't know how I lived without it!!

I purchased this for use with a TomTom XXL 540 series GPS.

The base is weighted perfectly and didn't move, even though my car's dash has little flat surface to hold the base steady.

The arms that grip the unit are just a bit too short to secure a large unit like the XXL in place. It will grip the XXL when the side arms are fully extended but they aren't as tight as I would like. The bottom arms aren't quite long enough to keep the XXL snug either.

It's difficult to wedge the XXL in just right - I have to play with it for a while every time I use the mount, which is annoying. Eventually though I am able to wedge the XXL into the mount in a way that keeps it secure unless I'm driving in very rough conditions or have to brake suddenly. This is not a problem with smaller GPS units - I tried it with a TomTom One and it worked beautifully.

To summarize: this isn't the best choice if you have a GPS that is larger than average, like my TomTom XXL, but it works very well for small to average-sized units.

This is a good product. However, the company should build a telescopic cover on top to keep the sun from hitting the screen. It's hard to see during daytime with the sun. So I build a cardboard on top, extending 2 inches on each side and about 4 to 6 inches in front to cover the shade.

The main problem with this mount is that it will not tip far enough down, not even to vertical. With it angled up, at least in my vehicle, there is a significant glare from the GPS.

The other problem is the TomTom GO630 power cord fits in the bottom of the device and the cable goes rearward. The device has to be moved down in the mount to allow clearance for the cable, further exacerbating the angle problem.

If the mount stem was a little taller, allowing the holder to tip farther down, I think they would have a real winner.

I am sure it will work well for some devices in some vehicles. Unfortunately my device, the TomTom GO630, is not one of those devices for which it will work.

If you have a TomTom, you may want to look elsewhere.

I bought this for use with my tom tom. I found that only the bottom part of the unit was usable with my GPS unit. The arm would not hold the unit up as I guess my unit was too heavy. Still a good product and worth the price.

I bought this item. I found that it is OK, but does not work the way I thought it would. I needed to put the vice part around the skinnier part of my GPS and not the wide part. Maybe I'm doing it incorrectly, but that's the only way I could make it work. This item said it was good for the 330 model, so not sure what I'm doing wrong. I wanted an item that would work by not attaching it to my windshield. This does serve the purpose, just not as easily as I thought.

I bought this product for my daughter who has a TomTom and was getting mad at her holder falling off the windshield. She loves this mount. It does not slide on her dashboard and it securely holds her GPS.
