Product Description

Charges in 5 minutes Provides 36 volts of emergency power when your car battery fails. StartMeUp2 is guaranteed to work if the starter clicks or the engine cranks too slowly to start. Simply plug in the patented StartMeUp2 into your cigarette lighter and in about 5 minutes your battery is charged and ready to go! Always Ready to GO StartMeUp2 is ready to use right out of the box. We require no pre-charging and no maintenance. No Jumper Cables Cables can be dirty, hard to use, and just plain scary! Even if you have cables and can find someone to give you a jump, the cables may not reach the other car. Safe For Your Car Cables and battery-based boosters can cause power surges that may damage your car's electrical and computer systems. But the microchip in StartMeUp2 eliminates electronic surges for safer jump starting. Palm Size Unit StartMeUp2's palm size design is small enough to fit right in your glove compartment so it's always there when you need it! Environmentally Safe StartMeUp2 contains no hazardous lead, mercury or cadmium. And the unit is completely disposable! Advanced Technology Other car battery chargers can take up to 45 minutes to work. Only StartMeUp2's advanced energy cell, power burst technology of 36 volts works safely and conveniently, in about 5 minutes, while you stay inside your car! Even a fully charged battery may not produce enough power in cold weather to start your car. While regular car batteries deliver 12 volts of power StartMeUp2 delivers a full 36 volts! StartMeUp2 provides extra energy that ensures the flow of power to your vehicle's battery, bringing your car back to life. Use while safely in your car This revolutionary new product allows you to jump your battery without ever leaving the safety and comfort of your car! No need to ask strangers for help. With StartMeUp2, you stay safely and comfortably inside your vehicle. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the jumper may work great, but for the price they don't tell you that it is a disposable unit. you can only use it one time, then throw it away. there are a lot more units out there that yoiu can ge3t for the same price, that you can use and recharge, that work just as good, and are just as small and convenient.

I tried this after a few months and it didn't work. The phone number on their website (800-372-3815) is disconnected, and they don't answer emails. There are no other numbers available for Startmeup2 or "Automotive Energy Systems".

I bought three of these units, one for each car. I used the first one more than a year later and it worked! I was up and running in about 5 or 10 minutes, as the unit had said. I used the second one several months later after leaving the lights on in the car - it worked then too! The 3rd one was used when I helped another guy whose battery was dead. I had no need to contact the company so I can't comment on other reviewers talking about disconnected phone numbers, but from my own personal experience, they are very handy to have in a pinch. And yes, they are a 1-time use disposable unit.

I bought one each for my wife and me. Both did not work. Very poor quality. One might mean I was unlucky to get a defective unit. But twice failed that this product is just of poor quality.

Verified Purchase
I bought two of these last year and put one in my car and another in my wife's car for emergency purposes. Both did not work. One might be unlucky but two shows that the product is of poor quality.

I was excited to try this out, so I ordered 2 of them.
Item arrived quickly. However, it should be noted that the small charger says that it is for 1 use only. So, I am going to wait until it is absolutely necessary before trying it out. I thought that it could be used more than once (then charge it up), so next time I will read the documentation more carefully.

[For some reason, the Amazon order search can't find order #104-7577799-6062631, so I can't leave seller feedback.]

A friend was at my house the other night and her car wouldn't start and she asked if i could jump her car and I said NO...the last time I did that the fellow hooked the cables up wrong and it cost me sevveral thousand dollars to replace all he parts and wiring he burned up. Then I remembered I had one of These Emergency Starters in my trunk and got it out. it has been in there for several years and through some really cold winters and handed the Start Me Up 2 to her and said give it a try. Well it worked just fine....she got home, got the car started to get to the battery store and bought a new battery. She just called me and asked where i bought this as she had to use it again to start her car with....it would appear she has more than a battery problem, but it did start her car twice for her....so it gets a 5 star from me and I am buying two more right now to put in the trunk as they are calling for a cold winter.
