Normally I am extremely pleased with the products that I receive from Amazon, and those that don't work out for various reasons are returned. However, I felt that the product that I tried last night needs to be brought to your attention ASAP before someone else has the same situation that I did.
I went out this morning to pull off my windshield cover that I received last week and at first I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was no frost on my windshield. However, then I sat down on my seat and immediately had wet pants. When I opened my door to go change, I noticed that the side of my door had water droplets and my speaker in the door was filled with water. Of course I panicked and jumped out to see if the passenger side was the same, and it is.
I realize there are several factors that could potentially come into play here, including operator error while installing the unit (for example, not shutting the door tight enough) or loose door seals. However, I just purchased this car on September 30th and it's a 2014 Nissan Altima, so I really don't think old cracked door seals were a factor. I would agree that maybe I hadn't slammed the door shut tightly if I hadn't had the same results on both sides of my vehicle. I think what happened was that the frost traveled through the material and melted and ran off into the interior of my car.
I'm sure you can understand my frustration that led me to cry my way into work this morning.Read more ›
