About the Author

Thomas M. Singer is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH. He has written several Autodesk product tool educational texts. He has also worked extensively in virtual teaming and collaborative design tools.

Mrs. Marika Snider, Associate Professor of Architectural Technology at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH, has been involved with the use and instruction of AutoCAD software in both her career in the private sector, and in her teaching career.

She teaches a variety of architecture technology classes including CAD, architectural design using CAD, architecture history and manual drafting. She has also taught a number of corporate training classes in the use of AutoCAD software sponsored by Sinclair.

Marika is a licensed architect in the states of Ohio and Kansas, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute, SIGGRAPH (computer graphics) and the Association for Computing Machinery. Marika is the chief Architect and owner of Snider Associates Architecture, a commercial architecture firm in Dayton, OH.
