excellent book for the learning autocad opperator
easy to read and to understand for the beginner into autocad architectural drafting. I have learned more than my class teaches me in autocad drafting.

Disappointing re-packaging of other books.
I bought this book as a supplement to The Complete Reference AutoCAD 14, published by Osborne Press, which is an outstanding reference, in the expectation that AutoCAD for Architecture R14 would offer a more directed approach to learning CAD. It seems, instead, to be put together from other reference books, and not even carefully at that. The word...

I bought this book as a supplement to The Complete Reference AutoCAD 14, published by Osborne Press, which is an outstanding reference, in the expectation that AutoCAD for Architecture R14 would offer a more directed approach to learning CAD. It seems, instead, to be put together from other reference books, and not even carefully at that. The word "TEMPLATE" is spelled "TEMPLET" except when "TEMPLE" is used. I returned my copy.

This book is not for the beginners, or for advanced users.,

Author tried to cover everything in general. There are very few detailed examples. This book is like a summary for the uses of AutoCAD. It usually ended when you were just about to learn more in terms of one of the specific autoCAD features.

pretty general book with not so great support,

I thought this book was okay for someone starting out. there are basic exercises at the end of each chapter. the book claims to have on line support in the way of execises and/or examples but when I went to their website I found none that are useful.
