These small nozzles are very easy to use. I got 12 of them and use for my pot plants on my patio and for my vegetable garden. Since they use the original cap of soda bottle as a connection to the bottle, they can be fit to any of bottles in my hands. No leaking at all. I also notice that unlike other type of water spikes I used before, these devices made by the small nozzles bubble (watering) only when soil is dry. But, no bubbling when soil is wet. That is exactly my plants looking for. It works great!

This is a sham--the nozzles are too small to effectively work well and they do not come with the caps--which are required to make them work. The caps have to be made from bottle tops or purchased separately for more than the initial nozzles.

Used this when I was out of town for a weekend. My tomato plant would only have been about 12 hours overdue for watering when I got back, so all this had to do was release some kind of water. Nope. Came home and tomato plant was completely drooped over. With some water it now appears to be on life support so hopefully it will survive.

Something that wasn't clear to me until I got it was that you have to drill a hole in the cap and then push the thing through. I followed all the directions, but still no luck in it putting any significant amount of water into the soil.

Talk about a flop. Thought these would be great to use for during the week when I am not
at my campsite...wrong. Bought all the plants, got them potted and the nozzles either
did not release water or they flowed non stop until the bottle was empty. Tried 20oz
and 2 liters size, didn't work right for either one so I had to bring my plants home.

Not so great. water from bottle was in the pot in one day. Maybe the opening is to big on the nozzle?

Still trying to make this work. Problem - most water bottles have caps with a ridge inside- which prevents this product from laying flat - so my search for the proper cap was hard. Found I liked the wide mouth bottle caps but found the nozzle would slip back into the bottle when pushed into the dirt. Tried to glue, silicone the nozzle to the bottle cap but it would eventually loosen and fail. So, I cut a plastic circle to fit the inside of the cap (like a washer) to hold the nozzle in place and that has worked the best. Its a good price for the nozzle until you double that with the S&H

Disappointed in product. Was fooking to fit 2 liter bottles. Price was to high for what I got. return just another cost.

These inexpensive little gadgets are lifesavers if you travel or need to leave plants unattended for long periods of time. I collected a few beverage bottles (small lids, like on water bottles and single-serve soft drink bottles, work far better than wider lids) and used a drill to pierce holes in the lids. Slid the water nozzles through, filled the bottles with water, screwed the lids on, and that's it.

On a 9" diameter potted plant, a 20 oz bottle lasts for about 4 - 5 days if the plant is already moist when the device is inserted. Liter bottles would last even longer. Alternatively, even if you aren't traveling, I keep a couple in certain plants that thrive with self-watering, and I don't have to worry about over/under watering.

It's really, really nice to come home from vacation to living plants! For the price, these are a great buy.

These do not work. Used a plastic pop bottle with them; placed in the pot as instructed, and all the water drained out and overflowed out the top of the pot, thus creating a real mess. Don't waste your money.

The AutoWater nozzles worked perfectly. The hardest part was drilling the bottle caps to fit correctly. We used them when we went away for a long weekend and used ten ounce bottles. If you are going away for longer I would use 2-liter bottles.
