This is just syrup now. The coffee flavor is non-existant. If you want a sweet liquid to add to your milk, just add corn syrup, it will taste the exacyt same.

There is a good reason why venders don't list ingredients on their sale site---this product being no exception. Let me do it for them, and you be the judge...

INGREDIENTS:

High fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, coffee extract, caramel color and potassium sorbate. Contains sulfites.

I also think that the ratio of sugars to coffee is off---way too sweet. Next time I will look for coffee extract, and add my own sweeteners.

My sister and I grew up on this stuff, our whole family drank it on a regular basis. We thought it was delicious and our parents/grandparents thought it was an acceptable way to sweeten our milk. I recently moved back to Rhode Island and could not wait to et to a local grocery store and pick some up, but I was extremely disappointed to read the ingredients! It's pretty much all high fructose corn syrup...
When the the official drink of Rhode Island become total garbage?

My advice? Make your own. Heat some dark brown sugar and white sugar with very little water and add strong coffee. It literally tastes the same, but without the cheap genetically modified ingredients.

"Autocrat - Premium coffee and syrup since 1895"
I wonder when they changed their formula to include such "premium" garbage?

It's so good! It's very good with just the milk and the syrup, but my favorite way to drink it this: Half Coke and half prepared coffee milk. I usually use about 4 ounces of Coke, and add to that 4 ounces of regular milk mixed with 1 tablespoon of Autocrat coffee syrup. Incredibly yummy.

Be sure to shop around right here on Amazon. You can get eight times the amount of Autocrat (four 32-oz. bottles) for just about twice the cost of this single 16-oz. bottle, and it is Amazon Prime eligible.

It is a shame that I can only purchase this item on line. The stores in Miami, Florida does not sell it. My husband was born in Rhode Island and remembers it from his child hood days. Besides it being good in milk it is excellent over ice cream. It would make a good adult coffee syrup for over ice cream or in a milk shake.

I used to have coffee syrup back home in Boston. Thank goodness you can buy foods on Amazon so I got some Autocrat. A little swallow told me it is the best. Its the best because nobody else makes coffee syrup. I want to try it on Vanilla Ice cream sometime.
