4.0 out of 5 stars well worth the money
Nice program for the price! Before buying this product I downloaded a trial copy of Turbocad2D and found it very difficult to get it to perform as I wanted. Not the case with QuickCAD. The multi-snap function makes this a breeze quickly bring any drawing to life. Don't be fooled by the experience levels control, it just turns off certain buttons for beginners and then on...

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use but....
This product was very easy to use in a 2-D model, but it does not have the abilitie to create and powerfull 3-D models. It has a lot of great tools(for 2-D) that make it interesting. This is a great product if you want to make things only in 2-D, but if you are thinking about 3-D, I would not recomend it.

The multi-snap function makes this a breeze quickly bring any drawing to life. Don't be fooled by the experience levels control, it just turns off certain buttons for beginners and then on again for experts. Go ahead and use the expert level (you have to anyway to get through the "getting started guide" that comes with the software). The manual that also comes with the software is extremely informative and must be referred to several times until you learn all the tricks and hot keys. Once again, I feel this is a GREAT program for the price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Autocad, August 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: QuickCAD Millennium 7.0 (CD-ROM)
When I was in college, I studied AutoCAD r 12, back then I believed it would help me when I turn pro. But I discovered Quick Cad and been using it since then. It's great for simple to complicated 2D plans. AutoCAD is great, but only for big firm with a lot of people sharing or working on the same project. For individual designer, Quick Cad is the fastest and easiest cad program to use, and it is compatible to AutoCAD if you need to share it.

3.0 out of 5 stars What is their definition of a beginner?, March 1, 2000

I have obtain this program to draw up plans for woodworking projects. The reason for picking this was the statement of easy for beginners. I was in total surprise that by reading the manual that comes with the program, I had absolutly no idea what they were talking about. Algebra and geometry knowledge is a must. As far as working with this program and seeing its potential I feel that it will be of value in the future. They do need to, like so many software manufactures, give the software to a beginner, let her or him work with it,than design the instruction book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad...., August 11, 2000
This review is from: QuickCAD Millennium 7.0 (CD-ROM)
I've been using Generic cadd for years for furniture and project designs and recently purchased this program when I upgraded my computer. I found it easy to learn and enjoy it more than I thought I would. It is much easier to dimension a drawing or change elements than in GC. The 3 levels is just hype; all it does is shut off tools that even the most elementary of drawings is going utilize.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value, November 6, 2000

When I retired 8 years ago, I was using Autocad (I think it was release 10) when I needed cad. I recently needed a cad program again and bought QuickCad, noting that it was written by Autodesk. I was amazed and delighted at the features and flexibility and the way it merged the features of Windows. I am now buying a copy for my granddaughter, believing that it will help her in a design course she is taking. A cad program to be useful must have many features. I am not able to imagine the needed features coupled with simplicity, but if the user has the patience to work with QuickCad, I believe he or she will be as pleased as I am.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is NOT like AutoCAD, May 25, 2001

As an experienced AutoCAD user I HATE this product. I bought it to have some simple and legal cad software for my home. It has some cool features but it is so unlike any other cad package (and I have used several) that I became extremely frustated with it.

Don't buy this as an entry level package - it is a dead end package. Your "skills" with this package will not be transferable to the "real world".

I am going on e-bay next to try and dump this [garbage] and buy Autosketch or anything that is not this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easiest and most complete - Just what I need!, November 8, 2003
By A Customer

If you own it or ever used it in someone else's PC you knowwhat i am talking about; complete, easy interface and what you need and more! I say no more. I recommend it over the full complicated versions of Autocad withthe zillion cds and tons of books, this has everything to get you started as soon as you open the program.

(An excellent Autodesk product!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute best for the price, April 14, 2007
This review is from: QuickCAD Millennium 7.0 (CD-ROM)
I bought the early version of Quick CAD 3.02 in 1995 for $99.00 and have used it ever since. I have designed chemical plants, inventions and now I am designing houses. It does have some limitations but for 2D layout it is very easy to use and final drawings in large format are very professional looking. I am now buying the newer version.

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, November 9, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: QuickCAD Millennium 7.0 (CD-ROM)
For the price, this is a good little program. I used it for small project layout designs. They are fairly professional looking but the program has many limitations. Layering and layering with colors seems to be a major problem. The manual was next to worthless, but if you want to toy around and dont want ot spend money on something like AutoCad, then this is a fine program - just dont expect to be designing the space shuttle on it.
