Automata are humorous and sophisticated machines with intricate designs on paper that move with cranks, levers and wooden sticks engineered to simulate lifelike motion. Turn the crank - the chinese dragon snaps its jaws and twists its body. The kit teaches mechanics and stimulates the imagination of kids of all ages.
Each kit is packaged in a sleeve containing four cards (8 1/2" x 12") printed with model parts, wooden sticks, and complete instructions. Assembly requires a few basic tools: glue, scissors, craft knife, needle and thread. When assembled, the models range 4"-11" W and 7"-13" H. Design by W. Ruffler. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
