5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book especially for those with some Exposure
This text is the only one of its kind that provides the level of detail required, and the necessary coding structures and constructs to perform very complex tasks in Excel. The book will provide the most benefit for people who have a strong knowledge of object oriented programming and VBA.

A Pfizer researcher writes a book about VBA, offering a collection of macros - most general-purpose, some specific to interaction with an ODBC source like Microsoft Access. This review is from: Automated Data Analysis Using Excel (Paperback)
This text is the only one of its kind that provides the level of detail required, and the necessary coding structures and constructs to perform very complex tasks in Excel. The book will provide the most benefit for people who have a strong knowledge of object oriented programming and VBA.
The book contains ready made coded modules that can be incorporated as black boxes into projects to perform complicated tasks such as curve fitting and plotting. It is clear the intention of this text is not teach the user to how code in Excel VBA, but to provide a framework to enable mid to high level programmers to accomplish more robust tasks.

(There is a small bit on calling Matlab from Excel, in absence of Excel Link or Builder for Excel, and a longer discussion of software called Origin). How is the book going to compete against Excel books already out there, most written by Excel professionals? I would recommend not spending your money to find out, and going for a real Excel/VBA reference.
