Automoblox T9 Truck Green by Automoblox

I bought the Automoblox truck for my grandson's 4th birthday. It has an instant hit. He liked that he could take the truck apart and put together another combination.
The truck body is actually 3 parts, the front end, the truck cab(body) and the truck bed, joined together by very easy to use bright green plugs. The truck puts together as shown in the images, or the cab can be eliminated to make a cute little "buggy".
This toy is very sturdy and appears to be well designed and engineered. I'll be checking with my grandson to see how well his Automoblox truck is holding up to daily play. The Automoblox information says that each Automoblox model is interchangeable with other models. So, if this model is holding up well, I will be ordering at least one of the other models for Christmas.
Caution for those with smaller children who still like to eat their toys; there are wooden people who plug into the inside of the truck cab, the toy loses very little play appeal if you tuck those away until the eating urge passes.
The only downside I can think of is that the price was a bit high. However, it does come in a very sturdy cardboard box that seems designed to create the image of an heirloom toy. I can see that happening. All in all, if the toy holds up as it appears it is designed to do, that is money well spent.

We now have three of the automoblox cars. They are a great toy and happen to be the only toy my 4 year old son hasn't lost a part of. They are easy to pull apart and put together and are sturdy. They are a tab pricy, but the fact that they have lasted as long as they have makes up for that. He enjoys having 3 of them now so that he can mix and match the parts. My babysitter is going to get more of them for all of the kids to play with.

This is an exceptional toy, that combines the gross motor skill training of block, the fine motor skills training of fitting pieces together in the correct manner, and the creativity of learning how to use different pieces to make unique creations.

It's solid wood, good quality, and well-packaged. The vehicles are made in the USA, although the wood is German beech wood.

The price is a bit high, but this isn't a "mass market" toy, this is a toy that seems like it could be passed down to your kid's children. Obviously, you can tell I was very happy with the toy.

We own two Automoblox (blue sedan and green truck) and while they are well made and nice cars to play with the idea of pulling them apart and building new cars is extremely limited with only two. The price is a serious limit on how many we can afford and two cars just doesn't create much variety.

Also, you can't just pull the end off one and place on on another -- the interior connector has to be switched out, which is too tricky for 5 year old fingers. The documentation says "this offers a welcome level of complexity" but I think it just makes it needlessly difficult.

The automoblox cars are expensive, but worth the expense. I gave one to my 4-year-old grandson, and he loves it; he spends a lot of time taking it apart and putting it back together; he plays with the people and makes up stories about the people in the car. His 2-year-old brother also fell in love with this car, so I bought him an automoblox truck. Another great hit. He loves to take off the wheels and put them back on. He also loves to put the truck back inside the molded plastic container, and to fit that back into the box, which is now the "garage."
This is a simple toy, very well made, which encourages a child to do a lot of imaginative play.

We have received the automoblox mini's as gifts for the past 2 years, never purchasing a larger one I didnt know how "fun they could be" One surprise that wasnt mentioned is there are 4 people in the truck and all have different shaped posts (star, circle, triangle, spuare) so it added just one more element of education to this toy. My son has had the product for a couple months now and it is still a favorite toy.

bought this as a present for grandson. he loves it. he is only two so he needs to have parental help but loves this.

This truck was for my grandson. He loved it & it has so many things that you can do with it. It is very durable.

This was our first purchase of Automoblox. We questioned whether they would hold the interest of our grandchildren and if the quality would justify the cost. The Automoblox did all of these things and more. The both our grand daughter and grand sons played with them the day of the birthday party and the next morning they were one of the first things they got out. They are simple, well made, and educational. Parts from the same size of cars interchange with any of the others that same size. We like that if a part gets lost you can order another rather than just having a broken toy. I am sure that the collection will grow with our grandchildren! The minis were the perfect size to fit in the hand of our grandson that was turning 3.

These sounded and looked like good ideas but the quality control/design of the plastic connectors are so poor that if your child is rough on them or steps on them, the eventually work loose and come apart, exposing sharp metal screw points. Poor construction quality from China or poor engineering design or both. We purchased three and they have all fallen apart at the connector junctions. I had one replaced by the company but same end result. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you plan to be very gentle with these.
