I thought it was about time someone provided online access from the car so I'm a real fan of this product because it offers this very service. I love having full Internet access from the car. I can get on Mapquest to find alternate routes while traveling and what's especially valuable for me is being able to check my work email, work on projects and make use of travel time while a passenger. I haven't had any problems with the connections either.

Amazingly useful,

Great on short trips around town or long road trips, went through northern deserted portion of new mexico and still had reception, found no other apparent dead spots. The device itself is nice and compact fits easily into the vehicle. In the year of owning a device and the one or two slight difficulties, customer care was always prompt and very helpful.

Autonet Rocks!,

I bought one of these Autonet routers from another site after I had tried the MiFi and the Clearpoint routers. Those routers worked fine at the house, but once I put them on the car it was hopelessly frustrating. They just can't keep a signal for some reason, but the Autonet was rock solid. Even in areas where my cell phone was marginal my Autonet stayed up. The best thing about Autonet though is their customer service. Even though they use Sprint and Verizon, they have their own tech support. They were able to help me get everything going and when I needed support with the MiFi, I had to go through Sprint. (You can guess how that turned out)

Only router I've tried that works in a car,

I've been testing these 3G routers for several years and the Autonet router is by far the best one to use in a vehicle. The problem with MiFi and some of the other cheap 3G routers is that they just can't keep the connection up while the car is moving. There's a reason that the car manufactures are using Autonet.

Autonet Mobile, a great product!,
This review is from: Autonet Mobile KT-ANMRTR-01 Automotive Wi-Fi Router (Electronics)
I bought an Autonet box about a half year ago and now its like second nature. I can't imagine not having internet in the car. It's great for internet radio (my favorite), sending emails, searching, streaming video, and most other internet activities.
I am a local cinematographer/photographer and having high speed internet on the road is priceless. When I'm out location scouting I take pictures with my eyefi enabled camera they automatically upload to my Picasaweb account and my clients can see the location immediately. Saves a whole lot of time. Amazing! Way better than a cell card or using your phone as a tether. First I used an AT&T Samsung phone w/ a USB connection. Probably the worst connection to the internet other than old school dial up (14.4k or less, if you can remember that far back). Then I used an AT&T pcmcia card, I had to buy third party software just so this product would work on my mac, even though AT&T promised me it would be easy to setup. A German software company helped me get it up and running not AT&T. Once you go Autonet you'll never go back. Truly a well thought out product.

This product is excellent. My son went on a road trip with friends after graduation, and used autonet to get weather, traffic rerouting, finding restaurants, etc., and I had piece of mind as I could always get in touch with him, plus knew he had the means to contact emergency info if needed. I love the ease of traveling with it. It's not bulky and I have connection with everyone. I find a new use for it everyday!

I travel frequently in the summer to our family's vacation home. This is in a very rural part of Iowa, and being an online entrepreneur, I need internet connectivity 24/7. When I first received my Autonet router, I tested it in a large city and had great performance - about 1.5 mbps download speeds. However, when I tried using the router in rural Iowa, I was getting about 30k speeds. A simple call to Autonet's technical support and it was fixed! They went above and beyond my expectations. The support rep actually worked on my router from his home during the weekend (since I could only be in this rural location on the weekends). After he worked on the router, I am able to receive speeds of about 800K in the most rural parts of Iowa!
This is a great product which is easy to setup and for anyone to use. It does exactly what it advertises, it gives you a cellular broadband internet connection; however, I see three advantages to using Autonet over a traditional mobile card. First, the cost is much lower. They have a package which starts at only $29/month which is great for those who only occasionally need access. Second, the internet can be shared by anyone within about 100 feet of the unit. Lastly, the technology used in this keeps a connection while moving compared to some cards that will drop frequently in a moving vehicle. As my title states, this is a great product backed by an amazing support team!

I am handicapped and my wife drives our 40' motorhome. This gizmo allows me to be online as we go down the road. It lets me process my e-mail, make reservations at the next campground, or order more stuff from Amazon. The required agreement offers two options based on useage. The cheaper plan(1 gig) per month is plenty for what I do but consumption goes way up if you are used to downloading large amounts of video. I admit it: I'm an internet junky and this thing allows me to feed my addiction.

Been using a autonet router for 5+ months now and have no complaints about it. It keeps me connected all the time. Its very useful on long and short road trips when you need to get or stay connected. The autonet router has saved my butt more then a few times when I need to get connected and was not at home, work, or near a coffee shop, well worth the price.

Sometimes you just need internet access in the car. There are many other solutions that are more expensive, but Autonet brings it all together without a signal drop. I found their tech support to be very helpful and return calls even when not in the office. I use my router in the car and in hotel rooms when I'm away on business. I got an adapter to turn the power from the router into a 12 volt adapter so it's completely mobile. I then have an adapter to plug the router into a wall-socket so I can avoid those hotel's that charge $10-$20 per day for internet. It's paid for itself already, would recommend.
