"Un Autre Univers" is a consistently satisfying album from start to finish. Tina Arena gets better with each album (and she was already pretty darn good). This is her best work. The music is lush and distinctive. She rocks, she soars, she haunts, she grooves and she never disappoints with a voice that is pure and melodious. All the tracks are strong but "Si Tu Veux Mon Coeur" is particularly extraordinary. The music on that track is transcendent and haunting. I also love the rocking "J'ai Envie de Savior," the sultry title track which befittingly uses the music from Tina's English language song, "Woman," and the uber-soulful "S'il Faut Prier" that will give you chills.

If you don't speak French, I still think you'll enjoy the album because Tina's expressive voice makes you feel what the song is about without actually understanding the words.

This album is top notch and transports to un autre univers, indeed.

I think that indeed, here voice is even nicer now and I was actually about to cry on Aimer jusqu'à l'impossible and it got worse on S'il faut prier. Just buy it if u wanna be touched deep deep down.

This 2005 French album "Un Autre Univers" by Australian singer/songwriter, Tina Arena, is her most stunning & beautiful album to date. It transports the listener into a world of musical sophistication and class. I cannot speak French but this is no barrier to truly appreciating this album. The songwriting, the vocals, the production, the style - each is of an exceptionally high standard. The lead single "Aimer Jusqu'a L'impossible" was a massive hit in France in 2006. Other standout tracks include: "Je M'appelle Bagdad", "Si Tu Veux Mon Coeur", and "Il y a Des Jours". But favourite tracks aside, the entire collection is a must for any existing Tina Arena fans & any newcomers looking for an introduction to this exceptionally talented & beautiful singer. I sincerely hope that this is not the last of Tina Arena's French recordings because this style of music suits her perfectly 5/5.

I've only heaerd bits and pieces of her previous work, but this CD has made me into a great fan. The uniqueness of doing an album in French with eastern influence is a nice touch to say the least. The reason I purchased the that I saw her video of "I love Baghdad", and it tweaked my interest. Good stuff all around.

I've only heard "Just Me" and this album. I don't speak a lick of French but this album blew me away. I don't care for her songs (so far) where she sings in English. But when she sings in French it is sublime. This is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. And her voice is unbelievable.

I have always been a fan of Tina Arena ever since her first album "Strong as Steel" and "Don't Ask" and have always been thrilled by her performances later in "In Deep" . Songs Like "Strong as Steel", "I Believe", "Chains", "Show me Heaven", "Heaven Help my Heart", "Burn", "No Shame", "If I was a River", "If I didn't Love You", "I want to spend my Lifetime Loving You",etc...are all immortal songs! The albums "Souvenirs" and "Just Me" introduced me to the other side of Tina Arena: the great French singing Australian artist. "Souvenirs" introduced me to "Aller Plus Haut" and "Les Trois Cloches" - two exceptional performances, then a limited release of "Just me" introduced me to "Si je ne 't'aimais pas", "Tu es toujours là", "Coeur de Pierre" - all so unique and adorable along with her wonderful English songs as "Tangled", "You made me Find Myself", "Symphony of Life", "Woman", etc... UN AUTRE UNIVERS: IS A NEW WORLD OF TINA ARENA, A NEW WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, ALWAYS SO THRILLING; SONGS LIKE "AIMER JUSQU'A L'IMPOSSIBLE", "UN AUTRE UNIVERS" (FRENCH RELEASE OF WOMAN), "ET PUIS APRES", "JE M'APPELLE BAGDAD", S'IL FAUT PRIER", "CHANGER", "JAMAIS NON JAMAIS", ETC. ARE GREAT SONGS THAT REFLECT ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES IN TINA ARENA'S VOICE, MUSIC, LYRICS...SO AGAIN "UN AUTRE UNIVERS" IS A MUST HAVE! THRILLING AND WONDERFUL PERFORMANCES...., EXCEPTIONAL AND UNIQUE...BEYOND EXPECTATIONS...CHAPEAUX BAS!

This album is simply the best I ever heard in my whole life. Each song is a total masterpiece. Tina's voice is so emotional and pure. The melodies are truly divine. Lyrics are great too! Tina talks about important things like humans bad behaviour in 'Un autre univers' (an other universe) and about injustified war in Irak in 'Je m'appelle Bagdad' (My name is Bagdad). She talks about love too in a wonderful way. If you like music go and buy this album immediatly ! All the people who heard it just fall in love with it even my hard rock fan friend ! A pure masterpiece !

The tracks are in French as well as the booklet. Now if you won't want to listen to it in French that would be up to you. But if you like Tina Arena buy the CD. This is a rare oppurtunity. I have the CD that I ordered from Amazon France. Since its a internationa shipment do try to be at home due to the purchaser having to sign for it. They ship it by Fedex which can take a couple of days. With the long wait time here on the US site I do recommend that you order from Amazon France if you want it fast.

There's perhaps only one song I don't like to much. But over all I love this CD!! Her voice is much stronger and sounds better when she sings in French. I have the English lyrics to My name is Bagdad on my MSN space. Its a sad song but if you want to see it let me know and I can change my settings on my MSN Space.

This is great. Even though her accent isn't really French compared to other French divas, she is able to evoke emotions with this album by her powerful & melodic voice. My favorite tracks are Aimer jusqu'à l'impossible, Si tu veux mon coeur, Il y a des jours, Changer, Si j'avais le temps.

The CD cover isn't pretty at all. This is what I don't like about this album - but "c'est pas de probleme, je t'adore deja, Tina!"

C'est un fait accompli...few artists could produce such a magnificent, well-polished album. The songs are so fresh and original that you can listen to them over and over without feeling a sense of dullness!
