4.0 out of 5 stars nice grooves, November 30, 1999
By A Customer
Overall, this release is better than la vague sensorielle. Although it never reaches the same heights of the previous lp, it is nonetheless more suited to repeat listenings. Autrex voix, autrex blues has a wonderfully consistent and smooth flow to it to maintain a sense of all-pervading calm throughout its duration. The music feels so effortless that the album ends before you really know it's even begun. Nevertheless, there's enough going on here (even some disco grooves on the third track) to keep the album from getting boring. In general, if you enjoy the final third of K&D's DJ Kicks set (e.g., the more relaxed, slower selections) or Nightmares on Wax's 'Carboot Soul', you should really enjoy this set of well-composed mellow, syrupy beats and vocal samples.

As with "La vague sensorielle" The Mighty Bop remains elusive to catagorize. Samples, loops, and blends of jazz\house\and rap make this a unique listening in any language.
I say that because the lyrics on this cd are all in French, but it's still ok. Once again the turntablism is evident, but not as much as on "la vague sensorielle". The vocalist on this cd is Louise Vertigo who I know nothing about other than she sounds hot! You may need to cool off after listening to another unique and masterful blend from the Mighty Bop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mighty Bop is always unique and excellent, May 15, 1999

France seems to have a monopoly on unique, dreamy trip-hop and Mighty Bop may be the originator of that feel/sound. Have yet to dislike anything they do. Bon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mighty Bop, The - Autres Voix Autres Blues, February 25, 2011
AUTRES VOIX, AUTRES BLUES takes The Mighty Bop another level higher. Though their keen sense of hip-hop is on full-display (like on the stripped-down "Excursion Mentale"), they also show a more nuanced and integrated approach to melody. Needless to say, Louise Vertigo's lovely voice on tracks like helps stitch these elements together - - just listen to the deep, funk groove of "Peau D'Ane" or the neo soul of "Je N'ai Pas Le Choix." "Un Jour..." carries a heavier beat, and it pushed forward by Vertigo's expressive vocals. If you're in the mood for something more upbeat, "Initials MB" and "Moody's Mood" throw a house beat into the mix that's as deep as a hole in the earth. Outstanding.
