A great start,

10 Years really has something going here, and I hope they stick with it. I disagree with the reviewers that say they sound exactly like their influences. A lot of bands sound similar these days, but 10 Years has their own music and definitely their own messages.
While it's true to say that people who like APC will probably like 10 Years that's not to say that 10 Years IS APC because that's simply not true. It was the lyrics that really pulled me in through such songs as Through the Iris and Prey and the melodies, especially in the title track. A few songs sound experimental to me, like Half Life, but c'mon, this is a developing band, and this is their first album.

Something special!,
This review is from: Autumn Effect (Audio CD)
I want you all to look at each of the reviews, you've saw people say that the vocals sounds like POD, A Perfect Circle, Tool and the entire band sounds like, cold, Seether, Cheville, Dark New Day, Crossfade, and Metallica. I mean, a person REALLY looking for a good review would have to just leave amazon.com and go read professional reviews. Do you understand, that what different people compare them to is so varied, it's literally is insane? The truth of the matter is, 10 Years sounds like no one, they have a very, VERY unique sound that other bands drool over. They can't be compared to anyone else without using another band's name, they simply can't be compared to anything that has hit the rock world before.
The band is unique, it's something special. Reviews for nirvana were just as varied when they first came out on the rock scene. This band is going to be huge, you should jump on their fan wagon now before later.

I picked up this CD without hearing one sample from the album. It was in a "Breakthrough Artist" area on sale for $6.99, so I said what the heck, it's calling out my name why not. Put it on right away in my car, and hasn't left my side since. I only bought it for around seven dollars, but would honestly pay $20.00, it's that good. I would have to say this is one of the best albums that I own. The awesome songs just keep coming and coming on this album.
You would be crazy not to buy this CD, it's a great CD and hope there will be more great albums to come.

Worth Your 7 Bones @ Best Buy,

Yes, this band has a similar sound to Perfect Circle & 30STM. Those are good comparisons, but if you are a fan of good modern rock (like the aforementioned) and Filter, Trust Company, & Finger Eleven you will like this album a lot. This is just a cool band that you can tell is comfortable in their own skin. The album has a good flow and the lyrics mesh w/ the song structures. I don't know to much about them but for $7 at Best Buy (this week) you really should pick this one up.

Spodoc!,
This review is from: Autumn Effect (Audio CD)
Currently, a person hear's the question, "What's your favorite band?" and the majority of sain people will say, Tool, Metallica, APC, or maybe even if they're really out there- Korn. Now, believe it or a not, a band has come out to combine the best aspecs of each.10 Years, "The Autumn Effect" is like rainfall in a drought - it's refreshing - insanely refreshing. I guarantee any rock lover won't regret buying 10 years' cd, "The Autumn Effect".

Not bad at all,
This review is from: Autumn Effect (Audio CD)
This band has something going here, don't mind the idiot below me as he/she hasn't the slightest clue... Doesn't even make sense for that matter. This band is in no way, shape or form a Nu-metal act. they are not trying to be like Tool. Since when does a band have to do something "new." When was the last time a decent act did anything new anyways? This band simply makes extrordinarily catchy and haunting radio rock. This is a hard rock band that knows how to make a song. The singers voice does resemble Tools only to the SLIGHTEST degree but they have stronger influences than Tool. They are just out to make good, catchy, haunting radio rock. point.

Great!,
This review is from: Autumn Effect (Audio CD)
Great band, even better live. So, what other bands can you say are even better live than what they are on their album? None. What would you give a band that is just that? Five stars. Now this isn't saying that the album sucks, it truly is mind-blowingly good, but them live- Dear lord, it's like you've gone to heaven. But when it ends, it's like you've been slammed into hell. This is a must have CD, it's really great.

They are a great band. Excellent vocals combined with very tight instruments. To someone's previous review... Tool's music almost started it's own genre in 1993. Everyone who wants to compare new striving bands to Tool has no appreciation for good music. Learn how to give a great band credit. Definitely worth picking up a copy.

Tool-lite,
By
This review is from: Autumn Effect (Audio CD)
Just wanted to add to all of the positive reviews.
The Autumn Effect is Tool-lite, which is not a bad thing at all. (Being compared to one of the greatest bands of all time is a compliment.) The lead singer shares the same vocal range/talent as Maynard, and the music is layered similarly to Tool, just not as heavy. Tool just has a sound that cannot be duplicated. I don't have any favorite tracks as of yet... the album has been consistently pleasing to listen to, yet they all stand out in their own way... something not many modern rock bands can pull off anymore these days. Anyways, blah blah blah... borrow it from a friend or just go out and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Well, I just finished listening to this CD and it honestly took my breathe away. It's unbelievable, my sister, who's a local DJ convinced the station to give out thirty copies of the CD. She, the radio station, and I all know that this is going to be a band for the ages.
