There are times you want to just take a quiet walk and watching a movie seems a bit much. You can use this DVD when walking on your treadmill or as a background to reading. I have watched this while reading a book, glancing up now and then to view the scenery and listening to the music.

There is a focus on streams splashing through forests and the scenes change from autumn to winter. You see the change of seasons and how the rivers change over a few months.

An escape to Colorado!

Being from Colorado and having seen the beautiful scenery I was hoping for a lot more out of this DVD. The scenes are ok at best and are repeated throughout the film, as if somehow the director didn't think I the audience would pick on that. The soundtrack is prototypical 80's mood music and should probably be muted to get any sort of satisfaction out of this dreadful ensemble. I recommend something from the BBC collection paired with music of your liking.

This is one of the most beautiful and relaxing videos I've ever seen! It completely captures the essence of the Colorado Rocky's as they turn from autumn to winter. The music is soothing ... the natural sounds of the mountain streams are so peaceful... the entire production is just super. I especially liked how the director would sometimes utilize artistic repetition to truly create an intimate feeling of nature with the viewer. I watch it over and over and over again!
