This is one of the best VFR products on the market. Everything about this unit beats most all the other units out on the market, I've played with just about every unit out there. The unit will cost around $1250, which is bit on the high side of where this unit should be priced. The screen is spectacular, 800x480 resolution. The best way to use this unit is to mount it in-dash with an air gizmo unit. This unit will mount vertically. It has all the features, closest airport, airport maps, air-space, etc. You have to push the "page" button to bring up the closest airport. There is no way to quickly get closest "VOR" or "center" frequencies, you have push "Page", then Menu, then use the joystick to select ARTCC. The unit has all other features that other gps have, fuel, wind, timers, etc. If you like Avmap, I would skip this unit and consider the EKP V, it's just under 2k but better on features. The "V" has the ability to show you side profile of your ground elevation vs the path you are flying, very cool! You can adjust your altitude to maintain minimums. If you want to venture to another brand, I would look at the iFLY 720 GPS, which has it all and I would rate as the best VFR GPS on the market, with built in WIFI, IFR plates, etc and only costs $750.

Pros: Great screen and lots of customizable features. Great terrian information. Very intuitive and my mother can operate. Uses a CF card which is easy to upgade. HSI screen which can be used with map. Great airport diagrams. Much easier to read than "ANY" Gramin 530 or lower type of product.
