I started using this product when I just did not want to spend another 45.00 for my usual Origins face cream. I was skeptical at first but when I found out that it not only has Vitamin C but White Tea too, I was willing to give it a shot. Both are wonderful topical antioxidants and even Origins could not offer both in one product.

That was over a year ago and I have not gone back. In fact, I use the entire line of Avalon Vitamin C now. The cleansing milk, facial serum, balancing toner and this cream. My skin absolutely glows like never before, my dry-as-the-desert skin problem is resolved, I never have breakouts and I look forward to my regimen every night and morning.

Oh! The scent of this product is great. It is a clean citrus smell that does not linger too long - just perfect for feeling refreshed.

I love the smell of this facial cleanser - a refreshing orange scent that wakes you up (and is nice even at night!). But I really started using it because it met my criteria for "healthy" beauty products. This product has no parabens and no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, and it is compliant with the EU Cosmetics Directive (much more stringent than our own FDA regulations for chemicals in beauty products. It is not, in face, a completely organic product, though at the top of the ingredient list are organic lavender, chamomile, and white tea. A small amount lathers well, and my face feels so clean after I use it. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it does contain benzyl alcohol and some other "unnatural" compounds, but this will still remain in my rotation.

Imagine your morning scented with the aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice. Except, you are putting the orange juice on your face. This luxurious foamy facial cleanser is healing and lifts your mood.

Activated Vitamin C helps to remove impurities while it also encourages a natural moisture balance.

If you have been using cleansers which strip the skin of moisture, this product will help to balance out dryness and clear your skin.

Some of the ingredients include: lavender, chamomiles, lemon balm, rosemary, aloe, vegetable glycerin, sunflower oil, vitamin E, vitamin A, panthenol, cucumber extract, citric acid, pure essential oils, annatto and paprika.

My favorite face wash for the morning, but I've also been using it in the shower, so now I have to buy two at a time!

Follow with the Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner for excellent balancing results. My skin was much more oily before I started using this product. Now my entire face is more balanced and not so dry in places.

I am in my late 20's but unfortunately still suffer from blakcheads and breakouts occasionally, despite the texture of my skin feeling rather dry. I only get oily in the summer. Anyone who takes good care of their skin knows that no matter what your skin type, you must moisturize. I have found this to be a great option to deeply moisturize my skin without causing breakouts or excess oil. I also think the Vitamin C compoenet brigtens my complexion. The scent is like fresh oranges, so wonderful to wake up to! It is quite thick and rich even though it is oil free, and may be a little heavier than you are used to, but feels great after you get used to it.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good moiturizer that feels rich and elegant, but may be nervous about breakouts or sensitivity. The fact it is organic and responsibly made is a big bonus, I like that I don't have to use my "leading drugstore" brand anymore and can find good results with something more natural.

The only reason it does not get 5 stars is that I don't see a dramatic imporvement in clearing the scarring from previous breakouts. I would like to find a product which does that as well.

It does not have SPF, which does not bother me, becuase the texture of the product is so right, I would not want them to add SPF and change the texture... I tried the SPF lotion version of this exact line of products and did not like it as much as this cream. So I have to make sure I get my SPF protection from something else...

I love the Avalon Organics Oil-Free Moisturizer! It works great on my normal-to-dry skin at any time of the year, in the night or in the morning and even under make-up. It smells great too. In fact the delightful-but-not-overpowering scent is what attracted me to the product line in the first place, in addition of course to it being organic and paraben-free. This product has been reigning on the top of my list of facial moisturizers for a while now.

However, it can get really pricey since it retails at about $20 (without taxes) for a 2 oz jar at most stores including Whole Foods, Target, CVS, etc. And that's where the goodness of this seller comes in, haha. A total of $14.66 with free shipping is definitely the best deal I've found so far on this product. I hope the price continues to stay reasonable and the shipping continues to stay free. Will be happy to purchase this product from here in the future!

Update 4/19/11 - So good for my skin! I continue to love it!

This is a fabulous product. I tried it about six months ago and would not be without it. When the jar got low, I found myself trying to get the least little bit left out. My skin looks fantastic--really unbelievable. I used to get DHC skincare products all the time but am phasing this out to go to all Avalon products. Highly recommended.

I have to be very careful what I put on my skin as I have rosacea, which is an inflammatory condition, and any type of exfoliator or even mild astringent can cause a long-lasting outbreak. Avalon Organics' Vitamin C cleansing gel has a light, citrusy scent which wakes up my skin in the morning while providing gentle cleansing that leaves my skin soft and refreshed. One pump of the cleanser will lather into a rich, delicate foam that balances out the tone of my skin: it deeply yet gently cleans the oily portion (T-zone) of my skin while softening and moisturizing the dryer portions, and is mild enough not to affect my rosacea. It's soothing and relaxing just before bed, too, and thoroughly removes makeup and oil build-up acquired during the day. Now I just have to figure out how to keep my husband out of it - he loves it too! Highly recommend for those seeking a gentle cleanser.

I have combination oily-normal skin. This product has a great citrus scent to it and takes care of dry patches instantly. At first I was a little taken aback with the small amount of product in the jar but I soon found out it only takes the smallest amount, just a little bit on your finger, to get the job done; this jar could easily last me years. It feels great on, can't really tell you're wearing it, while also appearing to improve my complexion as well as healing the dry skin.

Because it's winter time, I started getting some dry skin spots on my hands, and I wondered what this product might do for that, so I dabbed a little bit on my dry spots and just like on my face, it moisturized them immediately, leaving no trace of the dry skin. After a few days of putting it on a couple times a day, my dry skin was cleared up!

The only downside to this product is that after I put it on around my forehead (which is where I have the worst problem with oil), the oily skin came back faster than it would without the product. However, it still took most of the day before it came back and I feel that the benefits of this product far outweigh that downside. When I need another jar many many months from now, I'd happily buy this product again.

my skin is very acne prone/oily. I have used multiple moisturizers but none were ever good for me, they either didnt moisturize well or broke me out. This moisturizer is the best, I have been using it for almost 2 months now and the first week I saw a huge difference. My skin was clearer and more radiant. It is pretty heavy and takes a while to dry but it does its job, you also dont need to put a lot because a little goes a long way. I put it on at night all over and in the morning only around my eyes and mouth because those are my dryest parts. If I put it all over during the day I feel my face getting very greasy since it mixes in with my natural oil production. But this product has definitely helped my skin significantly!

I could not find anything to combat my combination skin and frequent break outs until I found this. It has made my skin absolutely gorgeous. I am even getting compliments on it. Imagine that. Buy this, you won't be sorry.
