I bought this for my husband for our 4th wedding anniversary. I did a lot of shopping around before I settled on this one. He really wanted a skeleton pocket watch and he wanted a lot of the watch's mechanisms exposed. This watch seemed to foot that bill without costing the over $500 the ones we were looking at cost. I have to say this watch is much nicer in person. My husband was so impressed and absolutely loves it! It is a very nice size, everything is so pleasing to the eye and the construction looks very solid. Now we've only had this for a short time so I can't comment on its lasting quality but it does come with a limited lifetime warranty which is reassuring. This is truly a beautiful watch and worth every penny.

I have had the silver version of this watch for 6 months and have had it repaired twice so far. The mechanism jams and the watch will not work. It is relatively easy for a watch repairer to unjam but the problem still exists and will cost more than the value of the watch to completely fix it.
I have also heard that the main spring is likely to break if you overwind it.

The price was right, and it works very well. I didn't expect it to be as large and heavy as it was, but I believe that makes it all the sturdier and likely to last. I'm considering buying one of the smaller/lighter models they have as well.
