Dramatic Difference, February 23, 2006
This review is from: Avalon Organic Botanicals CoQ10 Wrinkle Defense Serum .55 Oz (Health and Beauty)
You can never start too early to take care of your skin, which is why I was so happy to find Avalon Co-Q10 Wrinkle Defense Serum. I've noticed great changes in the lines around my mouth, and eyes. My skin looks and feels smooth, bright and rosy. Do you know how I found this product? I saw it listed on the Mayo Clinic's website for skin care! How's that for a trustworthy source? (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/wrinkle-creams/SN00010). Since I wear sunblock during the day and don't want my pores to swim in skin care products, I put the serum on at night, dotting it around my mouth, eyes, forehead, and neck. You know it's working because your skin will heat up after you put it on. For sensitive skin users, I would recommend trying a small amount to make sure you don't have a reaction to it. You'll see the results after only a few uses! The way it works is this: As skin ages, it gets thinner, and loses elasticity. You can't help the latter, but the former can be aided. Co-Enzyme Q10 increases energy production, oxygen and circulation in cells, thereby decreasing wrinkles, according to studies cited by the Mayo Clinic. Though I have good skin by heredity, I'm hoping to keep it that way!

Great but pricey product, May 28, 2007
This review is from: Avalon Organic Botanicals CoQ10 Wrinkle Defense Serum .55 Oz (Health and Beauty)
I used this product for one summer and was very pleased. I applied the product around my eyes to prevent crow's feet. The serum is soft, and not greasy, and is absorbed readily by the skin. I have read a lot on the anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-everything benefits of CoQ10 as an oral supplement, but haven't read anything on the topical benefits. However, I imagine it can only help. As we age, the body begins to become depleted in CoQ10 so supplementation is key to healthy cells. I imagine skin cells are the same, and boosting them topically with CoQ10 will lead to a more youthful appearance. I am (only?) 34, yet have gotten many comments that I look the same as high school. I cannot attest to the long term benefits of the serum, since I now only use the wrinkle defense cream. I felt it was a better buy for the money, and since I apply it every day around my eyes anyways, I did not continue use of the serum. If I had more money, I would use both products, but if budget is an issue I would recommend just going with the cream since the serum is more expensive per ounce.

Excellent Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin, October 25, 2008
This review is from: Avalon Organic Botanicals CoQ10 Wrinkle Defense Serum .55 Oz (Health and Beauty)
I am 41 and still 'break-out'. I had tried every moisturiser out there - "water based", "non-comedogenic", "non-greasy" - regardless of the claims made every last one of them either made me breakout or prolonged the ones I already had. Not so Avalon Organics CoQ10 serum. I have been using this product for more than 7 years now and I am very pleased. It is light, absorbs quickly, mildly scented and most importantly Does Not Make Me Breakout! Every few years I mistakenly think my skin had matured beyond the acne stage and try other products. I run right back to this one. True, it costs more than a drugstore brand. But it costs much less than department store brands. And certainly less than all the products I had to buy to cover up, shrink or somehow cope with the unsightly pimples generated by all other moisturisers. I have been at this (trying and using various skin care products) for 25 years now. This is the best.
