I've owned this watch for two years. It's practical, cheap, and durable. My last pocket watch, a Mondaine, cost four times more and lasted about five years. It was a bit more stylish, but was no better made or accurate. Most pocket watches in the price range of this Avalon are junky. They don't hold up. But this thing is made for real use and the dial is easy to read as well. If you don't like wrist watches and need something for every day, you can't go wrong with the Avalon Silvertone.

Bought this watch for my husband for christmas and he really likes it.
I had looked here locally and couldn't find what I knew he would like
and when I found this watch I knew I found what he wanted and he is very
happy with it.

Finally, a pocket watch designed by someone who actually uses one. Slim, so it fits easily even alongside a wallet. The knob is thinner than the watch, so it does not pull out in your pocket even when rubbed against the aforementioned wallet. No hinged faces to break. Sturdy chain with a clever clasp that slides on the top of your pants (under your belt), so it does not scruff the belt. And it's just a watch.
