This is the book for you!

Ms. Telyndru, has mastered the art of weaving a story so symbolic and archetypal in nature, yet profoundly real and accessible. From her book: "The Allegory of Avalon is profound in its simplicity; the path to reaching her shores is well marked. We are called to cross the lake-to embark upon the journey through the Unconscious-the watery realm of memory and emotion. From here we must part the mists-rending the veil of illusion that obscures our clarity of sight. This artifice is the greatest barrier keeping us from obtaining our true goal-reaching the Island of Avalon. The Holy Isle represents the truth of our sacred nature-the paradisiacal existence of the actualized Self."

Ms. Telyndru, takes us on a grand journey of self-discovery. She has effectively termed this process the Cycle of Healing-using the force and power of Mother Nature, we are moved delightfully through each of the seasons with the exercises provided. We begin to tune into this external cycle and move it inward providing a unique catalyst for inner transformation. From the book: "The ebb and flow of the tides of the Earth, Sun, Moon and Stars are but repetitions of the Great Cycle, the very nature of the energetic workings of the Universe. Coming to understand this Cycle, and learning to harness its energy by working within its parameters is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves... one of the greatest tools in our quest for inner growth and understanding. We are a part of the Universe, not apart from it, and becoming conscious of the mechanics of the Universe gives us great insight into our inner Universe as well. As above, so below. As within, so without."

Yet, as with any good book there is more. We are also taken on a journey through the landscape of Avalon, tying in the tangibility of the land with the intangibleness of the inner process grounding us in the work of our inner transformation through the Cycle of Healing.

This book is not only connected to the Celtic-Avalonian archetype like no other, it takes its readers through a transformational journey of the soul. This book gives insights, lessons & tools for growth. Jhenah's style of writing is simply wonderful, she is concise and yet descriptive in a way that captivating. Her ability to bring you to her writing & connect with the archetype and landscape of Avalon is like no other I've read!! This is an amazing book for all people regardless of their spiritual persuasion. Her work & perspectives brings healing of the self into the for-front of connection with the Divine, the land, & most of all ourselves. I highly recommend this book for anyone on a path of healing to bring forth their sovereign selves.

Anyone interested in walking the path of the Avalon needs to get this book. Finally! Something that takes all of the mythology, legend, history and spiritual mysteries and puts it into a context that permits the seeker and lover of Avalon to truly find their way to the shores of the Priestess Isle. The author puts forth some interesting theories, which she backs using good scholarship and symbolic analysis of myth and the sacred landscape. The crux of the book, and the success of the author, is that you are given tools and enough information to open the doors to the mysteries of Avalon for yourself. She doesn't ask you to take her word for it. Rather, she invites you to take the experiential road, and discover Avalon where it resides within each of us.

The book gave me a great deal to think about in terms of my own personal unfolding while also giving great tools, meditations (imrams) and rituals to connect with the Goddesses of Avalon, the Island of Avalon, and the Priestess of Avalon inside of me. "Avalon Within" is refreshing in that you come away from it not feeling limited by what was written in the book. Instead, the author has planted seeds for growth inside of you, and where you take it is completely up to you. I'm going to go back for a second read-through, and am sure to refer back to this book in my practice often. Highly recommended!

"Avalon Within" is easily identifiable as a culmination of years and years of scholarly research, study, and personal path and growth. More than any other book I have read on the vast subject of Avalon and the Celts, this book provides you with the means to access the realm of Ancient Avalon yourself, and to utilize the power there to transform your life. Truly a book for anyone even remotely interested in Avalon and THE book for those women searching for its Holy Isle and searching for themselves.

I like how the author of "Avalon Within" makes a connection with women cycles, earth cycles, nature cylces, etc. The other thing I like is how she presents each aspect of her tradition with not only legend and myth background, but also substance and historical facts, so that it is up to the reader to see for themselves what to believe in. She also references other books on certain topics for further reading. After reading "Avalon Within," I learned that in the Celtic Welsh tradition, they believed in 5 goddesses and that one could apply the goddesses to yourself, by having each one represent a certain aspect of the "whole" you. This is MY interpretation of the goddesses. Because of these analogies and interesting points of view, I was attracted to the book and Avalon tradition. It's just another way of helping women improve themselves, feel more confident about themselves, and become a better all-round person. The book takes you on a journey to look "within" and see what aspects of yourself you would like to change for the better: Do you want to be a better - healer, lover, mother, nurturer, etc. and what do you need to do to become this person? I enjoyed this book :)

Avalon Within is the first book I have seen that truly opens the door for women to not only explore the Sacred Isle of Avalon on an intellectual level, but to truly experience it within themselves. There are no intact written records of Avalon and the teachings that took place in that sacred community of women, but through the tools and workings given in this amazing book, a woman is able to begin her path to knowledge and understanding...of the Isle, and most importantly of her Self.

Jhenah Telyndru has managed to merge intellect and Spirit in a harmonious duo, keeping true to the scholastic aspects of Celtic history without ignoring the heart of the work. This is an empowering and transformational book-- a must-read for any woman seeking to learn about the Avalonian Mysteries.

Ms. Telyndru has written a wonderful book that guides the reader through personal transformation! The energies, the guiding, the teaching within are all written with wisdom and love. I know this is a book I will refer to again and again. I am getting ready to do the first meditative journey this weekend, although I have read far beyond that point in the book. I know this is a book that any seeker will treasure as I do.

"Avalon Within" captures the essence of ancient Avalon by means of the various tools presented, making it available to all who seek the wisdom of the Holy Isle. In working with these tools, I am deepening my connection with the Divine Feminine while reclaiming the ancient wisdom of Avalon and my own inner sovereignty. A beautiful layout on personal transformation, Jhenah teaches and talks about the ways we, as modern day Goddesses, must take full possession of our own Universal and Divine Power so that we insure our own growth as modern wymin.
Confronting the Shadow is based on the "Self" in this tightly knit book of ancient feminine connection. There is much revealed in the way of self empowerment and feminine birthright.

This was a wonderful book for my trip to Glastonbury. It was full of rich facts and meditations. I wish I had read it before the trip so I could be prepared for the energy there. I was sweating a lot in the first few days. I would have liked to have done some of the work in this book earlier so I would have had a chance to intergrate everything.
