4.0 out of 5 stars Worked for Verizon user with none listed phone - with Win2007 64 bit computer
I do not know if Verizon changed something, but I was able to create a ringtone from mp3 and wma; save it to my personal "locker"; and then the software sent it to my cell phone automatically. It also sent it as an attachment to a text so that I was not spending a lot to download the ringtone.

The software isn't the easiest but I was able to create 4 ringtones...

The software works very well in creating a cell phone ringtone. The company has been very helpful. I don't recommend buying this program or any other ringtone program if you are using VERIZON service. I have tried 3 diffent ringtone programs, they all created the ringtone, but I could not get any of them sent to my cell as a ringtone. I know all three companies are working on the problem, but it seems VERIZON has blocked the way for us to get any self-made ringtones loaded into our phones. This statement is based on the information I received at different websites, and my personal experiences.

I got this software because it said it works with Windows Vista. I tried to load it, and it wouldn't load. After several e-mails with their tech support it turns out that it only work with the 32 bit Windows Vista, I have the 64 bit Windows Vista. So, before you buy it make sure you have the 32 bit Windows Vista.

Software not user friendly. Accompanying users manual missing half of the pages, essentially useless. Returned to Amazon.

I do not know if Verizon changed something, but I was able to create a ringtone from mp3 and wma; save it to my personal "locker"; and then the software sent it to my cell phone automatically. It also sent it as an attachment to a text so that I was not spending a lot to download the ringtone.

The software isn't the easiest but I was able to create 4 ringtones in 10 minutes once I got the hang of the program. It is nice to be able to pick which part of the song you want to include.

My cell phone wasn't listed so I picked the next closest model number. None of my mp3's and wma's were being shown on screen. I then realized that the phone I picked was not able to handle real music ring tones. I picked the next model above mine and then I was able to proceed.

The sound quality of the rintones is actually pretty good. I never wasted $3.99 (yep - thanks Verizon) for an official ringtone so I have nothing to compare. However my friend has another program and his ringtones sound really scratchy (and he has a much better phone).

I see people had problems with tech support. I never had to call so I cannot comment on the support. Given that you are paying $20 - $30 for a program that will save you money within an hour, I wasn't expecting any support anyway.

Finally this program installed on a Windows 2007 64 bit computer with no problems at all - which is amazing seeing as there are a shocking number of programs that do not work with Windows 2007.

5.0 out of 5 stars After searching everywhere..., July 17, 2008
This review is from: Ringtone Media Studio 3 (CD-ROM)
I found a ringtone maker that works with my phone. It's great. It's easy to use, you can play around with different effects, you can mix 2 different songs with each other... it's just an overall awesome program. It has pic and video sections too. Not played with those that much. I connect my phone to my computer with a USB (I've got a memory card), then just click the ringtones I've saved, that I want and drag them to my phone. Worth every penny.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nearly useless, even if rebates come in waste of my time., July 23, 2010
This review is from: Ringtone Media Studio 3 (CD-ROM)
To it's credit the program offers 4 licenses in the box. The .mp3 music editor did work to bring in and cut the song into the length / section I wanted. However it didn't list my phone a Samsung U350 (Pretty common, came out a couple years ago and still sold at BestBuy.). The over the air (OTA) upload (which is why I bought it) doesn't send a ringtone to your phone. This option only uploads your ringtone file to the mfg's MyLocker website, after you create an account there. The site could then message your phone a URL to go find your uploaded file. When MyLocker doesn't list your carrier (like PagePlus) during the registraion process it is useless and can do nothing. If you think your phone can accept a ringtone by downloading it from a website try this instead. Download and install one of the many free .mp3 (and other music) editors. Then attach and email the ringtone file to yourself. Using your phone go to mail2web and open the email from your phone's broswer and download the file you attached. I would not recommend Ringtone Media 3. Sorry I couldn't take more time to polish the review, just thought it was worth warning you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Customer Support, October 25, 2009
This review is from: Ringtone Media Studio 3 (CD-ROM)
I bought this product and liked the interface. W/in 3wks started having major problems. Your windows media player will update depending on settings in your computer. As soon as it updates you will have problems with this software. I have tried to patch many different codecs to fix an error message with this software. The worst thing is that the company Avanquest sold the technical support agreement to a company full of people that don't even speak English. I'm not kidding, I've called at least 5 times and no matter how much i convince myself to put up with the people eventually I give up.
