I bought this as a present for my aunt, who had asked for an outdoor thermometer for Christmas. Not wanting to get one of the cheap plastic kind (even though those are usually pretty and accurate), I searched for something special and hoped that this would look as nice in person as it did online.
Was so happy that -- although it looks different in 3D, in person -- it is a very beautiful thermometer . . . very Italian looking. It's wonderful hanging on the privacy fence of my aunt's patio, and the numbers are visible from inside the house. And when the hook holding it up came loose, and the thermometer thudded on the ground (dirt, not concrete), the thermometer survived intact and accurate. Well worth the money.
