I bought my wife two of these feeders this season to hang on the front porch of our log home. They are the best looking feeders I've seen for our decor, BUT they both leaked like a sieve. I ended up sealing around the base with tub caulk, but it didn't stop the leak for long. And after a couple months of use they began to fall apart. I would definitely NOT recommend these feeders.

This item is adorable and different from you ordinary hummingbird feeder. However, the plastic bottom leaked. I had to put white teflon tape (plumber's tape) around the bottom to stop the leaking.

i was warned by another review that this feeder might leak, which it did. however, it was easily sealed with a little contact cement along the bottom seam. my wife thought it was super cute but we're still waiting for the hummingbirds. i'm still hopeful.

Very cute! I wanted something different with a somewhat Victorian look. Since I read previous reviews, I knew that it wasn't very practical. It leaks if you fill it too full, but since you need to change the food every 3 days, I only fill it enough to last 3 days. The hummingbirds love it. Very prompt delivery.

I give this a rating of 2 stars.

It's pretty, it's not too flashy. BUT.. after cleaning it with hot water twice, the wire frame around the reservoir fell apart.

All the positives don't mater if it falls apart and becomes unusable on the second cleaning!

Okay: positives: the birds loved it, it was apparently easy to feed from. They managed to drain it within about 4 days, but as I say - I cleaned it well twice and it fell apart.

I LOVE this design. This worked great the first year. No leaks and we even got humming birds! Maybe I should have taken it apart to store it for the winter. The next summer it leaked like a sieve. Thanks to the other poster about the comment about the Teflon tape. I tried the Teflon tape over the rubber seal instead of the glue so I could still take it apart to clean. The tape has been working great and is inexpensive to replace. If you like this design it might take a little extra effort to use, but I think it's worth it.

there is a place for perches, even the screw hole for them to be attached.
My hummingbirds use the perch on the similar feeder I have, but won't come to this one. Pretty as it is, we will make our own perches.

i ordered this for my mother in law for christmas & when she opened it, it was SO SMALL!! it's advertised as 14 3/4" high, but with the handle up, it's only 10" tall!! what a jip!! THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING!! WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY WITHOUT ANY INTEGRITY!

At first glance, this item looked much nicer than most hummingbird feeders that we looked at. But, after receiving it and under closer inspection it is poorly constructed, it is crooked and it LEAKS! It was fairly expensive, and not a good deal.

Looks very sturdy and am eager to be able to put it up this spring and watch the hummingbirds come.
