Fun for Avatar fans,

If you're into the Avatar series, you'll get a kick out of this game. If you aren't, I'd find another game. There's a combat arena where you can fight each other with the different characters. This part is fun and seems to be solid as a rock, whereas I have some problems with the story portion of the game.
The story portion of the game takes you through book 2 of the series. It's fun, but at times it's frustrating. There was one point in the game where we could not figure out where we were supposed to go and another that a simple part took far too many tries to make it through. We've had our characters get stuck in weird places a couple times and we've had Aang become invisible several times. I can't speak to other platforms, but it seems the PS2 version did not get enough playtesting. That said, we have enjoyed the game when the bugs weren't annoying us and would recommend it to any Avatar fan, so long as they can get a good price on it or rent it.

A lot better than the first Avatar video game,

I had a lot of trouble staying awake with the first Avatar game because it was so boring. This game is a lot better than the first Avatar game. The game begins in two player mode. If noone is there to control the second player, then the computer will take over. If your an Avatar fan, then you'll enjoy this game. It has the music from the show and all the characters from Book 2 Earth. For the first time you'll be able to play as Zuko and Iroh, which you'll be able to play with all four elements. But if you're just into video games, then this is not the game for you. This game is easy and its short. I have no talent in video games and it usually takes me months to finish a game, but I was able to beat this game in less than a day.

If you like Avater, this is a really fun game to see the characters do more. Some of the storyline bits are poorly animated and the plot is not that complicated, but it's really funny if you don't expect too much, and the best part is that it's multiplayer; you can play with another person collaboratively - quest with each other, not just fight each other. I don't recommend this game if you don't love Avatar or have never heard of it - its campy-ness won't seem endearing when you're just confused about what's going on.

A good kids game,

Pros:
- Great for kids who are fans of the show. - Good variety of mini-games combined into the Avatar storyline. Therefore the game play is mainly linear. - Good variety of venues where the game is played out. - Much better than the 1st avatar game. - Bending fits nicely into the gameplay- though only at specific parts. - Providing the means to enter the avatar state when your partner's in trouble is a good mechanic that heightens the suspense. Cons: - Running-from-a-catastrophe mini-games can get rather difficult and frustrating. - Finale is more challenging than it needs to be. Younger kids may run into problems here. - Game is buggy. Audio cuts out at points. Characters freeze sometimes.

Ok i know what your thinking, this game isn't meant for a 25 year old man. But i think we should hold our kids to a higher standard. I was so excited to run around in the vast complex world of Avatar, but all i got was simple repetetive levels with little to no detail. Not to mention cutting out the 2nd half of the show, leaving you with a game you can memorize in 6 hours. It was really cool to play as Iroh and Zuko, but it was only for a quarter of a level. The extra fighting game that you unlock with characters as you progress, was a good add. But i don't see why they didn't have the bosses as playable characters in that, instead leaving you with fighting as Momo and only 7 other characters. I didn't expect a complex role playing game, but i didn't think i was going to get a gameboy game for the PS2.

I had a blast playing this game! My sister and I finished it in two days because we couldn't stop. There are puzzles, but nothing too had to figure out. If you want a game that does Avatar justice and doesn't get you stuck, then this is it! Also, every character gets gameplay (even Zuko, Iroh, and Jet!)

My 10 year old son loves this game. There are some limitations I see as an avid "grown up" gamer, but if I was 15 or younger, this would be a game I played feverishly. And it's age appropriate so please, have kids play kid games. They don't need to be killing people all the time when they could be playing a game full of cool powers and charactors. Definitely a great title for fans of this very well done cartoon series.

When I first got this for my birthday, and started playing my mouth fell open, my eyes dilated, and I felt shocked because this game is so much better than the first. If you are looking for a game that has amazing graphics, I would still buy it even though it isn't perfect. If you're looking for an intermediate dificulty game this is the game for you. If you're looking for a game that is all fun, go for it.
PROS: Fun quests Better graphics than the first game You get to play as Toph and Jet for the first time Useful health potions This is much more true to the show than the first game Fun mini games CONS: No collectible items Ang has no glider For anyone Who loves fun this is the game for you. BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have played the first one, you were probably disappointed. That one didn't know what was going on because it didn't follow the original story at all. This one is a little better. This one tries to follow some of the story of the book 2 series. But of course you can't put 12 hours of video into a playable video game. You get to play as a lot more characters, and do more things. Great game for any Avatar fan.
