Avatar: The Last Airbender for Psp
****Recommended for 10 and under or inexperienced gamers. I just got this game a few days ago, and generally, I don't like RPGs. Frankly, I suck at them and I'm more of a puzzle person, but this game is pretty straightforward as far as all the details go. (Which I usually get confused by, and end up putting the game down.) You get to play as Aang, Katara, Haru, and Sokka. At first the other characters are annoying, - as they are weak and unskilled. But as soon as you earn more Chi points, you can up their skill levels for different attacks, or healing powers for Katara. Once Katara is decent at replenishing her chi, you're home free. You only get to take two characters around at a time, and Katara is kidnapped at first so you have to rely on little potions you pick up, or buy to replenish help when your away from a save point, which will also replenish your life. But after that this game is quite enjoyable. Like I said, I'm a horrible gamer, so being able to steadily get through this game was really nice. I was able to play for hours at a time without getting bored, and I felt like I was doing really well considering. Anyway, all in all - if you're any good at games like this, then I wouldn't recommend it - but if you're wanting to get this for a child, especially for someone younger - or who hasn't played too many games before it's the perfect game.

WORST GAME I HAVE EVER WASTED MONEY ON!!!,

SPOILER WARNING... but the story is weak and predictable anyway...
Awful! I bought it because I just got a PSP and I am somewhat of a fan of the Avatar series. I was unimpressed with it within the first few minutes but decided that I would give it it's fair chance and play it all the way through to the end, hoping it would get better or at least more interesting. It got worse, if anything... * Graphics are unimpressive, Aang looks like Charlie Brown * Dialog is just plain stupid * Story line was boring and predictable * Story was almost completely unrelated to the Avatar series, It was about the gang (with Horu as the token earth bender, I guess this came out before Toph was introduced) coming across some suspiciously sophisticated robot-like machines that appear to have bending-like powers and they investigate where they came from. They quickly discover that they are made by a prisoner of the fire nation. They spring her and then she continues to make the machines with the intention of fighting the fire nation and the kids decide to stop her because the machines have hurt some civilians... That's it. No twists. No surprises. No cameos by interesting characters. * Opportunities to save are very infrequent, so you have to set aside time for gaming. If you have to put it away unexpectedly, you will likely be nowhere near a save marker. * Aang has no Avatar powers, only air bending * Ending was weak and unsatisfying * The box says that you travel through all the nations of the Avatar's world, I don't recall it ever going to the fire nation, which would have been the most interesting. The only thing that I even remotely liked about it was the music, some of it was pretty good. Who ever composed it really liked the baritone sax, and so do I. Don't by it unless you are an obsessive Avatar fan and have to see this monstrosity for your self.

Boring,

This game was so boring that I barely made it to the 30 minute mark. It was one of my worst gaming experiences ever, with the only saving grace being you can turn it off. The controls are unweildy, the graphics are awful, and the dialogue was inane.
