Air Display's performance is extremely responsive, employing a unique dynamic compression algorithm. On a typical Wi-Fi network, mouse cursor refreshes are indistinguishable from a wired mouse.
Air Display works in both landscape and portrait configurations. Just rotate your screen, and it automatically reconfigures.
Air Display makes a laptop much more useful by increasing its usable screen size.
Air Display not only gives you a wireless computer screen extender, but also works as a tablet input device. You can use your finger to draw directly on the screen's surface. Try it with a calculator, painting tool, or music control surface! Simple gestures allow you to operate the right mouse button and scroll wheel.
You can connect to Air Display from both Mac and Windows.
When you rotate the screen, or disconnect and reconnect, your windows are automatically repositioned appropriately, so you don't have to drag them back to the Android screen.

MAC OS X
Air Display requires Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or later, on an Intel CPU. Both 32-Bit & 64-Bit systems are supported.
(NOTE: The drivers work great on Mac OS X 10.7.2 (Lion) except for Mac models with dual NVIDIA GeForce 9400M & 9600M video chipsets. Please see avatron.com/lion for more information.)
WINDOWS
Air Display requires Windows XP (32-bit only), or Vista or 7 (32-bit or 64-bit). Windows 7 Starter edition is not supported. Aero and DirectX will be disabled while connected to Air Display, and re-enabled upon disconnection. (Aero support is coming soon in a free update.)

This app is all about speed. There were some tradeoffs that the devs had to make in Windows to increase the speed of display. Aero desktop transparency must be disabled in Windows while the secondary display is running, for example... But what you get for it is a secondary monitor display that is much (much) faster than the competition on Android. The Windows application just sits in the taskbar when run. For me, the Windows application automatically detected my tablet when the app was running on the tablet. I can be much more productive with this app, thanks!

I have been using this app for some time on my ipad with my windows 7 netbook and windows xp desktop.
When I updated my desktop software and saw it was available for the kindle fire I immediately downloaded and installed it!
It works great!
I can now get extra duty from my fire as an extra monitor.
If you have ever wanted an extra monitor while on the road (or even at home) this app is for you!
Caution
Read the hardware requirements carefully apparently there are some configurations which will not work.
I have never had any problems using this software.

When it worked it was very cool, however for the price I expect it to work each and every time. The hassle of rebooting and entering IP addresses when it is being buggy stinks.
