My life pre-Confixor was one battle with my white girl afro after another. Life in my moist midwestern city was a frizz-fest. I tried product after product and would have to goop up my hair to a stiff consistency just to keep the top from frizzing. Then came Confixor. Now I wash my hair in the morning and apply the Confixor (generous amount) to my above-the-shoulder-length hair and let it dry naturally into ringlets. My hair is shiny, not fuzzy.

I love this product. I have curly hair that is not very thick. Whether I want to wear my hair curly or straight, confixor makes it happen and always makes my hair look thicker. It's not sticky, and you don't have to use a lot so it lasts a while. Highly recommended!

I have straight hair for the most part, but the reason I love this product is that is non-sticky and does not add bulk to the hair....actually, I don't know that it is in my hair. I can't imagine going to another product.

I have been using Confixer for 15 years,occasionally try other brands and have always returned to Confixer! Great product for BIG hair!

Wow. This gel is great if you want your hair to: A) Have NO shine whatsoever. B) Smell like an herbal field, and I don't mean in a good way, this stuff smells like rancid chamomile tea. C) Want a very loose hold with excessive greasiness and NO I didn't use too much I've tried many times with varying amounts, from pea to nickel size) and D) Feel like there is an opaque film of gunk on your hair that makes it look worse than if you had just air dried it straight out of the shower. Horrible stuff. Thank goodness it wasn't too terribly expensive, I am tossing the bottle out. Ants will probably attack it in my garbage, the smell is so sickly sweet. For reference, I have 3A type curly hair. What I WOULD recommend for use on my type of hair - Redken 08 liquid, Versastyler (the old formula, not the new stuff), Aquage uplifting mousse, and Thermafuse eSculpt. These aren't as gunky and filmy, and won't leave you smelling like rancid chamomile tea.

I don't know if this is just how this product smells or something happened to it, but it smells like a bad cleaning solution.

I love Aveda products--this is very nice smelling and lasts a long time since you have to use so little of it. It keeps my naturally curly hair under control without feeling sticky or stiff.

Best stuff around for having 'non crunchy' curly hair. The curls come out perfectly with this gel, and I loooove the scent of it. I got this about 2 days after I placed my order, which was quicker than I expected.

Oh how I hope Aveda doesn't stop making this. I have long fine curly hair (2b) that goes limp in the winter and frizzed in the summer. I use a Jessicurl curl lotion (CC or RR) after conditioning and put lots of Confixor in while my hair is still soaking wet and then scrunch with a microfiber towel to get ringlets/spirals. It does not get stiff and can be reactivated with a water spray bottle. Confixor is more liquid than a typical hair gel, as the term liquigel suggests. This does a superior job at bringing out the curls.

Yes, I am a product junkie but am lazy about blowdrying and other styling tools, too much work. I expect to find a good product and then it do the work, and this does. Confixor has a heady herby-flowery smell that may overwhelm you at first, but then you become comforted by it. It is the smell of Aveda quality and similar to their lotions and bottled fragrances. I expect to pay around $20 a bottle, but it lasts a long time. It's your hair; don't skimp.

Also, Aveda is not tested on animals.
