My hair is fine, thin and oily. I received this as a gift and after a week, I could tell a difference. My hair felt and looked normal, not oily or dry and my scalp didn't itch or flake. After doing a little research, I found that Aveda doesn't use petroleum products in their shampoos. Some will think its only shampoo, but when you got hair like mine, I'll spend a little more for good healthy stuff.

I like this spampoo, and the related conditioner.

I think the price is too high - note this is only a 8.5 oz, smaller than most shampoo bottles. I'll probably switch to something else, but only for this reason. Scent did not bother me or wife, it is pleasent and not feminine.

I purchased this product because I have used some other Aveda products, and I thought it
was rather cool that Aveda came out with a hair care line for men. I smelled the product in
the salon where I purchased it, and it smelled ok, but after I used it a few times,
it started coming on like gangbusters! Talk about over kill! This product has a obnoxious scent that
Leaves a trail for about six feet, and the more I used it, the worse it got.
I'm not really sure about all of the hype about men's hair being different, but I
had to stop using the product due to the scent. For men, no scent at all would
be preferable to something that smells like cheap after shave.
I had much higher expections from Aveda. This product needs to be retooled.
Two thumbs down!
