I have used this for 8 months and my face has less redness and is not irritated. I use the night cream because I don't need the extra chemicals from the sunscreen. It has reduced the irritation I had using other moisturizers like Lubriderm and Neutrogena. I don't even wear make-up. I had just about given up on "sensitive skin" moisturizers when I found this. I felt relief on the very first application. It took a week or so before I noticed a difference in the redness. I have used metrogel for years and this seems to help along with Prosacea, an over the counter product.

I am very happy with this cream. My rosecea was so bad, I had the veins in my cheeks, chin and nose lasered about a year ago. After using this cream for about a month,my skin looks really normal for the first time in a long, long time. I am in my late 50's and would use this cream even if I did not have a skin problem. It works for me!

I love the Ultra Calming line and although not available anymore in stores near me, I buy online because it is so great. Their foaming cleanser is also fantastic.

I bought this after a moderate case of dermatitis on my face along with the cleanser in the same line. I was very surprised when I opened the jar because it smelled like perfumed body lotion. I was actually afraid to put it on my face it was so strong. Sure enough it stung like heck. But honestly that went away shortly and my face did seem less red and my dermatitis went away in 2 days of using this product. I simply don't understand why the makers of this lotion would put so much fragrance in something so marketed for those with very sensitive skin. A week later I got a huge zit on my chin which hasn't happened in years. I wouldn't put this on my face again if I was paid to.

I know this product isn't designed to fight acne, but if your skin is very, very sensitive it does. Okay, I have tried everything - absolutely everything to cure acne. First, I tried everything I could find over the counter, randomly picking one thing after another. I also tried Proactive only to discover that like everything else designed to fight zits, Benzoyl Peroxide is so strong it only irritates my sensitive skin and makes it break out worse. So I decided to try a more gentle approach and followed a book's regimen for vitamin and herbal remedies. This also, was to no avail. Then I went to the dermatologist. The solution he had me put on my face had the potency of airplane paint stripper...and the same effects. After a year of going to the dermatologist, my face was breaking out worse than it ever has before or since.

Let me tell you, by this time, my face was worse than just breaking out. It was so sensitive to so many product I had tried that it was constantly itching and bright red all over! After realizing the products I had been using were the problem I went through quite a long stage when I wouldn't let anything but water touch it. The after-effects of these products still would not reverse.

I bought the book, The Skin Type Solution and took the quiz, which referred me to my chapter. (This book is absolutely the Bible of skincare.) I was surprised when my chapter said that my face might not tolerate Benzoyl Peroxide - something I already knew very, very well. The book recommended "Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizing Cream" instead - a product so gentle that it doesn't even claim to cure acne. But for my sensitive skin, it did!!! It didn't take near as long as I had expected before the pimples vanished. Then the redness went away. It took a little longer for my face to feel normal again, but gradually, even the constant itching vanished completely. I have been using this product for the last three years and it really works!
I'm beginning to get really worried because it's so hard to find the night cream version of this product. I hope Aveeno never stops making this.

I have numerous autoimmune conditions and am allergic to everything. My skin breaks out to most moisturizers (even ones that are for sensitive skin and perfume free.) BUT, not to this product. The "Ultra Calming" is the only line I have ever found that my skin can tolerate.

While I am left with some acne scars on my face from years of using and trying the wrong products, I'd like to say BRAVO to Aveeno for making this one. I am having regular microdermabrasion treatments to help revive the skin that the other moisturizers ruined and left scarred. Aveeno, please notify me if this line is ever going to be discontinued so I can rent a warehouse and stock it full of this stuff to last the rest of my life. I cannot live without it! Only took me 15 years to find the right face products.

I have extremely sensitive skin - to the point that other products in the Aveeno line are too harsh. However, the ultra calming night cream (which I also use during the day) works for me. It's the only non-medicated thing I've discovered that soothes my skin during eczema flare ups, too.

This is probably my favorite Aveeno product. I love the way that this product makes my skin feel. I have dry, tight, sensitive skin that is acne prone and I have searched high and low for products to meet my skin's needs. This product is able to restore the moisture to my skin that is removed from wearing make-up and taking it off each and every day. This product has also helped reduce redness from past acne scars and has also reduced redness in current blemishes. I started using this product in conjunction with the Clear Complexion Cleansing Cream and these two products together have been an excellent match. I cannot say enough good things about this product.

I have sensitive skin, I thought this would be ok for my skin because it is suppose to be "ultra calming". Next morning my face was red and irritated and I looked horrible.
