I have rosacea and sensitive skin which this product promotes itself as being made for. I gave it a clear shot but found it to be like washing with air - the foam did nothing for me. Also, it barely washed my skin and left it oily and actually more irritated.

I use their Positively Radiant line and give it 5 plus stars. It works miracles for my skin and the problems I have. My comment here is that when you have problem skin different products work for different people. If this one does not work for you don't give up on Aveeno. Try the Positively Radiant. All their products are hypoallergenic and oil/soap free so just find the right one for you.

I really cannot say enough good things about this foaming cleanser. You know how when you have rosacea and you just bend your head forward to splash water and your face turns red? With this cleanser that doesn't happen! I use it morning and night and have done so for about a year. It gets the makeup off and leaves nothing behind. Follow it up with the Ultra Calming moisturizers - the day one has SPF15 and the night one is great for my dryness. Rosacea is under control. Not gone altogether- that would take IPL treatmetns but there is no new redness or bumps and my facial itching is a think of the past. I've suffered with pretty bad rosacea for 10 years. I highly recommend Aveeno Ultra Calming cleanser and moisturizers.

I switched from Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser to the Aveeno after I read on WebMD that they felt it was the best facial cleanser for sensitive skin. I tend to have mostly dry, though I get greasy in the T-zone, and sensitive skin. It gets red, tight, and dry if I use harsh soaps.

The Aveeno Active Naturals is a very mild and easy to use cleanser. The foaming action feels good and creates a nice lather. The best part is that it rinses off very easily and completely. Which is a boon for dry sensitive skin.

The only qualms I have about this cleanser is that it doesn't seem to last as long as the Neutrogena and the price is a bit high.

All in all... it's expensive, but worth it.

My skin has been breaking out horribly for awhile now and not getting better, I have tried every product out there (including proactive) and my skin would get worse. I even tried to go simple and just use Dove soap - no good for me either. I also tried philosophy products and mineral makeup. Most of the products that I was using had some sort of 'acid' in them too, like salicylic acid, which I thought would help but only made my problem worse. I even considered that it was dietary because I couldn't figure out my skin problem at all! I tried giving up coffee, dairy etc., none of which helped.

Finally,(because my skin was broken out, red and irritated) I bought this facial wash, as well as the calming day/night cream...it has been LESS than two weeks and my skin looks amazing! So, if you have tried everything for breakouts, try this out next, you may realized that your skin just needs to be 'calmed.'

I will start off my review by noting that I have very sensitive, yet oily and acne-prone skin. Because of this odd combination, it is difficult for me to find compatable skin care products which do a good job of cleaning without irritating my skin. When do I find an item that works with my skin, I stick with it because my skin is hard to shop for!

That said, I have been using this product for years. My face feels fresh and clean after use, not itchy or stinging or irritated like it feels after using your average face wash, and I feel more clean than after using most gentle face washes. It also doesn't break me out and the pump seems much more sanitary than squeeze tube packaging and the like. The pumps always seem to stop popping back up after I press them down once I am about halfway through the bottle, but it's just a minor inconvenience to have to press the pump twice to get product out. This face wash is definitely worth it.

My face is naturally redder than average or "ruddy complexion" as I like to say. As a result I try to use very mild soaps, etc. on it so as not to make it more red than it already is. This soap is very good. No sent and good ingredients. I wash my face twice with it and my skin feels very happy. If you have sensitive skin then this is your bag.

Well I have suffered most my life with acne and have probably tried every face wash known to man.The last product I tried from another well known company made me have a severe reaction where I broke out in a horrible itchy rash all over my face. After going to see the dermatologist she recommended trying one of aveenos natural products that did not have any salycic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it.Well I decided to try this one and im so glad I did. It is the perfect face wash!! Its not over moisterizing and not over drying and my face has reacted amazing to it. I have been using this for over 6 months now and my acne has done a complete turn around. I still get occasional pimples but nothing like before. I highly recommend to anyone with any kind of skin issues. I hope they never stop making this because I dont know what I would do!!

This is a nice cleanser that doesn't dry out my ultra sensitive skin. I get eczema in winter & for some reason my cheeks get red & "flushy" so I decided to try this. I've been using it now for 3 weeks & then use the coordinating Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer together. So far it is just a nice cleanser but doesn't do anything for my red blotchy cheeks at all. So I give it 3 ½ stars, not the greatest but I've used a lot worse that's for sure.

I started using this in conjunction with the Aveeno extra calming moisturizer in an effort to battle the rosacea around my nose and mouth, and IT WORKED!

I'd had rosacea spots for years that would dry out and itch & nothing worked to get rid of them until I tried these two products. I would have given 5 stars; however, I have used better facial washes (and moisturizers), BUT, none of them eliminated the spots on my face. At night, I just use a heavy moisturizing cream, and that seems to work okay.

Not saying this will work for everyone, but this worked like a charm for me!

I've had incredibly dry skin since my mid-20s, and I'm a guy. I've tried Clinique, Prescriptives, Lancome, Metrogel for rosacea, St. Ive's, and a bunch of other "fragrance counter" and "face cleaning aisle" brands. None of them work for very long, and eventually I develop a sensitivity to ANY of them. But I've been using Aveeno Ultra-Calming cleanser and moisturizer for more than a year now, and I have NO problems with my skin. At first you don't think the light foam is going to clean, but it does and the moisturizer is SPF 15 and not greasy. (If you really want to scrub off old skin, switch off with the Aveeno Radiant Scrub once in a while--that works okay for me.)

I CANNOT recommend this product highly enough. Believe me, if I don't use something on my face, it starts to peel off, and people ask if I'm sick (from red cheeks). With Aveeno Ultra-Calming, my skin is in the best shape of my life--and it's cheaper and lasts longer than the "fragrance counter" brands. Aveeno, PLEASE keep making this!
