Initially quite impressed by this product, which brought instant relief. However after a very short time this shampoo wasn't as effective in soothing the scalp, which is healthy but dry at certain times of year. Do switch products, since using one thing constantly doesn't work for long--still, the shampoo doesn't soothe the way it did initially. Will use it occasionally for the nice fragrance and lather, but have searched further afield for dry scalp remedies.

I would eagerly try any new product from Aveeno, so I had no reservation in trying this new shampoo. It smells wonderful, leaves your hair silky soft, and did make my scalp feel less itchy, moisturized. I wish this shampoo came in a larger size tho.

I have severe itching on my scalp. Using the Aveeno Nourish + Soothe shampoo has been very good for my scalp. It has lessened the itching problem.

It does what it says on the label - it soothes itchy scalps. It is made from finely milled oatmeal. The only problem is that it is not available in the UK - I had it sent to an American friend in the U.S. who then sent it to me in the UK, a bit expensive for her! Johnson & Johnson UK who import some of the other Aveeno range into the UK say that there is no demand for this product in the UK. I think that they may be wrong.

I finally found a shampoo that relieves the horrible itching of severe seborrhea. I have tried everything: coal tar and zinc shampoos, prescription shampoos, dandruff shampoos. This is the first one that worked right away without stinging. The flakes are gone, the itching is gone. My hair is still somewhat coarse and could be softer but considering where I started from I will take a nicer scalp any day. I also use the Aveeno Nourish and Moisture Conditioner which is a light weight Conditioner. You might want a different conditioner for better softness.

I love this Shampoo, it's so smooth and silky, and improves my hair quality almost instantly. I first bought this product (together with conditioner in a package) from Costco and fell in love with it right away. The conditioner was also very good. Sadly Costco stopped selling this package and I regret that I didn't buy more when it was available for that short period of time. Although it's a little more expensive in Amazon, both the shampoo and the conditioner are worth the price!

My scalp is very fussy and easily irritated, especially in the winter. It gets flaky, can be prone to breakouts and scabbing, itchy, and bounce between dry and oily. I tried dandruff shampoos, even gentle formulas, and they just didn't do the trick. This however really really did. It cleanses very well which is sometimes a hard find for me because I have a ton of hair, really soothes my irritated scalp, smells great, and does NOT over dry my hip-length hair. I paired it up with the Nourish+Moisture Conditioner and Leave-In treatment and my waves/curls have bounce again and my tangles are significantly reduced. I'm on my third bottle and I STILL love it (and I get very easily tired of shampoos) At first I paused at the price but now once using it I'd easily pay twice this! Love it! Try it!
