At best, this will grip jewelry wire for a few seconds before unclamping all by itself. At worst, it clamps so tightly that it cuts the wire instead of just holding one end while I string beads onto the other end. I have another hemostat and have used it for the last 20 years. It works very smoothly and holds 3 or 4 wires at the same time without releasing any. This tool may work well for you but it won't do for my needs.

Purchased for my first aid kit. Purchased both the straight and the curved models -- have used them for various little tasks and they work great. Well made & attractive - easy to use, this size is perfect for my hands and take up very little room.

I liked the idea of the super small hemostats, but these don't actually lock and release effectively. Unfortunate. You kind of have to just use them for larger things like stuck IV caps and squeeze them together.

They work, however unless your fingers are the size of a 9 year old kids, they probably wont fit in the holes.

I use them when I am knitting or crocheting. It makes tying off loose or short yarn ends so much easier!
