3.0 out of 5 stars NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE RE-PRINTED, November 8, 2005
This review is from: Avengers: Vision and the Scarlet Witch (Paperback)
I like that fact that both Marvel and DC are taking the efforts to preserve their long histories by reprinting material from decades past. But this book really can't be considered a classic in any sense of the word. Giant-Size Avengers #4 is from 1975 and was in-between periods when marvel would have "annuals". There was a whole Celestial Madonna saga involving Mantis and Moondragon...names from the past to be sure. This basically wrapped up the celestial Madonna storyline. The Swordsman who had died in GS Avengers #2 now marries Mantis, who is also dead as the Vision proposes and marries the Scarlet Witch with Immortus doing the honors. Not only was the story not good but this time we didn't even get Dave cockrum artwork. We got Don Heck who was one of those awful, old school bullpen artists who managed to maintain his job way too long.

The Vision and Scarlet Witch Limited series from 1982 is better than the lead feature with art by Rick Leonardi and written by Bill Mantlo. All in all this book is nothing to write home about.
