Good Average Gloves,

Got these gloves to qualify for Amazon's free shipping to replace a pair of very well used Performance Classic Gloves. Pros: Gloves seem well made - cotton back, stitching, velcro wrist closure, and palm padding all seem good quality and up to the task. Cons: synthetic leather palm material is showing too much wear after only a few short rides, and overall the gloves fit somewhat too tightly compared to others - especially around the wrist and fingers, the latter aspect making them annoyingly difficult to take off when sweaty...

I was wanting an inexpensive, quality crochet riding glove...and that's exactly what I got with these Avenir Classic Comfort's. Some of the stitching is not perfect, but looks like it will last a long time. I have been using the gloves for about four weeks in a variety of weather conditions. Wet or dry my hands stay comfortable and I have a good grip on the bars. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase of these gloves.

Gloves for Wheelchair Users,

Strong and sturdy to protect the nabds while pushing your wheelchair. Much better than cheap bicycle goves and they do not cost an arm or leg lasting a long time. Though they are for bicycles, they work great for active users of a manual wheelchair.

I use these gloves for target shooting. I'm a lefty so I just wear one on my left hand and it provides some recoil relief from my S&W 642 or my Model 60 when I shoot .357's through it. These gloves are well worth it for the price. Why buy an expensive pair of shooting gloves that probably don't provide any more recoil protection?

Bought these gloves for my granddaughter. She found them uncomfortable, stiff and scratchy. I ended up having her use a pair of my old ones. These will go into a Goodwill bag.

Having never been really big into cycling until the last three years - I figured it was about time to break down & buy some gloves for summer riding on the mountain bike. Today (Feb. 16, 2011) was a taste of summer in the mid-west topping out at 70 degrees. Why didn't I buy these sooner? The compression foam padding is just right thickness - at least for me. It's not so thick you lose all feel of the handlebar grips, but still just thick enough to protect. At first look, you'd swear there is no padding. It's there - just not a lot of it. In this case, maybe less is more.
Granted this isn't an in-depth review over a long period of time. But my first impression is two thumbs up - way up.

not as good as my last pair...,
This review is from: Avenir Classic Comfort Cycling Gloves (Apparel)
I had a pair of Avenir gloves before and they had a great fit, almost precurved to fit the grip, leather palms with padding... They were great.
I paid more for this pair of "synthetic" and the padding is lacking, the fit is sloppy and they have been a disappointment. Guess these would go in a goodwill bag too except I don't want to pass on this disappointment to anyone else so they are trash bound. :o(

Got these gloves out of necessity and have been pleasantly surprised. They seem to run a size smaller so order 1 size bigger. Other than that they wear good, provide good protection and seem to be holding up good. Just 1 or 2 wear spots in 2 months isn't bad for the price. Thats why I gave in 4 stars and not 5.

I've been looking for an open mesh bike glove for awhile, I found these and they were perfect and very reasonable.
