When you extend the pump there is an inner rod that is much thinner than the handle and this is what snapped.

This is an excellent little pump, well made and intelligently designed. It took only a couple of minutes to bolt it to the frame of my Fuji Absolute LX. I've been using it on Presta valves although the pump's valve connector is designed to connect to either type of valve--since it accommodates both types, it's possible to switch between the different types with no further adjustments. A locking level is easily flipped to secure the connection.

As is inherent in this kind of portable design, the stroke is short, and it can take quite a few strokes to pump a tire (around 250 for my tires). From 0 to 60 psi, this is a very easy process. From 60 to 100 psi, moderate effort is required. Above that is going to take considerably more effort, i.e., each stroke will be noticeably more difficult. Possibly I'm getting a little too old to comfortably use this kind of portable pump (I'm 64), but I'm grateful I only have to maintain my tires at 90 psi.

My rating reflects the inherent design limitation of this kind of pump. Its design and construction is excellent so far as this particular approach. I've used the pump for at least 500 strokes by now, snd so far it seems both durable and fairly comfortable. But depending on your age, condition, and overall level of strength, you might also profit from considering a compressed air portable pump. And a good floor pump at home remains indispensable.

This guy is great. It's not even difficult for me to get up to 110 psi by hand. It's really quick, nice and small, and grips the valve stem nicely. Works on both kinds of valves, too.

This pump fits great attached to my bike with 2 zip-ties. It keeps a low enough profile. I was expecting something smaller, but larger means more are pressured. I have no doubt in my mind it will keep my tires inflated very well.

Update:
I tried using this once and it works very well and fast. It took me a little to figure out the clamp needs to be pointed outwards, not down when pumping, to keep it secured. It's the opposite of floor pumps. So, put it on with the clamp pointed down, then point it outwards and it is secure. It pumped it very fast.

I was surprised at how amazing this pump looked in person, when I got it. The two end pieces are plastic but the center is pretty sturdy metal. It does its job well. I haven't had to pump my tires up from being completely flat, which could be a nightmare. But giving them some extra air to keep them at the correct PSI was definitely easy. Only complaint was that the last time I used it, the plastic handle end kept popping off when I was trying to pump my tires. Not sure if the plastic threads holding it on got stripped, or if it just isnt very strong. However, still works if I just hold it a little differently.

I just got done pumping a 26" tire and it took about 250 pumps for 25 psi....pump another 50 and it went to 33 psi.I never bring any patch kit when riding off road but I do carry a spare inner tubes so this would work great in case I get a flat tire. Never thought that this small thing can really PUMP up to 30 psi....glad I purchased it.

I carry 2 CO2 cartridges along on every ride, but the pump is important piece of mind to have, in case the C02 cartridges don't work or you have a bad day with 2 flats. The pump is good to start the inflation before using the C02, and it tucks away neatly on the bar below your water bottle cage.

I had been using this pump quite infrequently over the past few months. I ride my bicycle a lot but don't really fill the tires very often. The other day I was pumping and the thing snapped into two pieces. When you extend the pump there is an inner rod that is much thinner than the handle and this is what snapped.

Unfortunately I cannot return it anymore :( I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
