This product is well built and designed very well. I am very happy with mine, it works great and is easy to use. As the other reviews say it will take a while to pump up a tire with this pump. But it is a shock pump meant for the suspention components on a bike not the tires.

This is a great shock pump, I already use it in my mountain bike. It's small and very confortable to use.The Pressure gauge is well protected with a rubber finish. Can get a little hot when pumping but I guess that is normal. It is a great purchase.

The pump is very well built. It fits very well into the shock's shrader valve and when correctly used, you loose little to no pressure when removing it thanks to the safety valve. The gauge is very precise and easy to read. Very good value for the price. DO NOT INFLATE TIRES with this pump as it was not meant for that.

Nice design, poor reliability,

I really liked this pump - at first. It fit onto the valve body easily; much better than my floor pump. However, even without dropping the pump, the needle for the dial-type pressure scale fell off. I disassembled the dial cover but couldn't reattach the needle. I'll trash this one and look for something more reliable . . .

Small, easy to maintain, and easy to use!Every part (except for the gauge housing) is detachable and serviceable. Keep in mind, this pump is very small. So, pumping at flat tire is a tiresome chore.

Can't understand why anyone would try to pump up a bike tire with this pump when just by it's appearance it's obviously meant for shocks only. Who want's to spend a couple of hours pumping up a bike tire. Might as well put your lips around the valve stem and blow it up with your breath. Or maybe the other end although it might smell a bit odd when you let some air out.

Use for fine-tuning psi, not for inflating tires.,

Pros:Very good quality, braided steel line, attaches securely to valve with metal threading. Cons: Takes the better part of an hour to pump two mountain bike tires from 30 psi to the recommended 50 psi, generating a fair amount of heat in the piston. Overall, much better than the last two pumps I tried, Bell Air Stomper Foot Pump (which broke immediately) and Schwinn Air Driver 1100 Floor Pump with 5 in 1 (which would pop off the valve stem as soon as there was air pressure in the line), but I would still recommend spending 75˘ at the gas station for inflating tires. |
