(I'm also mixing in Kristlose which is helping move things through her system too) So I'm very happy this seems to be helping her a lot!

This supplement has saved my cat's life. She was on knocking death's door when I took her in to the vet, she was nothing but bones. After being on this for a month for kidney failure all her levels are back in the normal range and she's put on all the weight she'd lost. The vet couldn't believe how quickly she recovered. Prescription food wasn't enough, this made all the difference. I could see some cats refusing to eat it or the prescription foods, I don't really have that trouble, as far as she's concerned she can't get enough, no she's not fat skinny little thing all her life.

I got some small pyrex bowls with lids, perfect size for her to eat from, now instead of mixing it with her wet food twice a day I do it once at night and in the morning just grab a bowl and set it down. If you do this don't prepare more than 2-3 days in advance, sits any longer than that and she refuses to eat it, your mileage may vary tho. It's convenient for someone on the go or great for short trips to make it easier on the pet sitter.

UPDATE: Over a year later and she's still going strong!

I am profoundly grateful to have found this in time to save my renal and hyperthyroid boy. His weight plummeted from already too low 9 lbs to barely 6 1/2 and docsm solution was to medicate him even more (doubling his dose of transdermal thyroid med)and force another Hills prescription atrocity. At 17 that seemed to be their only solution. He was dying in front of me not a week later, lifeless eyes, barely aware of his surroundings, no interest in food or life in general. I prepared to say good bye, put his carrier next to my bed where he lay, promised not to let him suffer for my sake. Then, I got angry and snapped. I learned that his meds' side effects include anorexia, depression and excessive drinking w/dehydration. I fed him raw food years ago and got lazy. I also learned that contrary to what sdt vets regurgitate older cats need even more RAW (not processed) protein and fat than even younger adults, very much like kittens. The protein processing issues most discuss w/renal disease quote studies with sub-par cooked foods. I decided that if my pet had days if not weeks to live this was the time to go off the reservation. We were out of time. No doubt. I let him detox from the new med dose and started giving him original lower amt but split into am and pm. I began to use Aventi with the comfort of knowing that it also adds a significant vit B boost which is necessary to keep your cat eating. I mixed it into a raw fresh chicken liver slurry, the only thing he was willing to eat, and removed ANY products with fish, except for a little poppock oil. I found that each day or raw (frozen and dehydrated) food he ate more and more and with a little serrapeptase and extra protease his intestines worked well.Read more ›

Never give up on your Kitty. There are many excellent products out there, such as this one, to aid in helping restore health. I also have the Renal Care in a liquid form of this which I am using. I just wanted this (Renal Advanced Powder Kidney Support)to avoid adding extra moisture to the "MommyNommy Smoothie" that I give my Kitty 3 times a day. I will continue using the Renal Care liquid when administering Holistic herbs and other medications. I would like to add that we are also having acupuncture done on our Kitty at this time with amazing results! If you would like to discuss your kitty with me, please drop me a line at Verachuckendave@gmail.com, I will gladly share what I have learned and would appreciate learning from others as well.

My cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease several months ago. She was losing weight, and after blood tests the vet told me to give her sub q fluids every other day. I tried unsuccessfully to give her fluids and was getting very frustrated. The vet told me she could administer the fluids which would cost $20 each time. That's at least $60 a week! Then she was telling me about phosphorous binders that would cost $36 a month. I'm retired, so this was getting overwhelming. I started to do research on treatments for CKD, and came upon Renal Advanced. I was impressed with the reviews, noting that vets were recommending it and that cats health were improving with use. It costs about one third the price of azodyl and is easier to administer (powder as opposed to capsule). I've been adding Renal Advanced to my cat's food for about a month now, and I can see a difference. She has a big appetite, is happily bouncing around and appears to have gained a little weight. I also bought a water fountain, and she's drinking up a storm! I'll continue using Renal Advanced, and am grateful to have found this product.

My 16 yr old cat wouldn't eat renal vet food and lost a lot of weight. I tried a kidney formula designed for a raw diet but he often rejected that food too. His vet said his values were worse and needed fluids. I found out about this product and first combined it with slippery elm slurry (for nausea) and a tsp. no salt tuna water morning and night. His appetite improved almost immediately and he's gained weight. He will eat it mixed with food as well so it must not have a strong odor. I'll see how his values are at his next vet appt., but I'm pleased to see him happy to see meals and gaining weight.
