avenue q is so wrong in every way that you can't help but sing along with it, and now that there's a karaoke version, i'm the star! :-P the tracks are obviously synthesized but the quality rocks and sounds very much like the original cast recording. they've even recorded the sound effects and underscoring for the script in betweeen verses so you can perform the entire song without having to skip over dialogue. the only problem is that amazon doesn't carry this for some reason, so i went to another site to find it but i guarentee it is the same item. This CD rocks! I love Avenue Q and the karaoke is lots of fun. All of the accompaniment sounds really good, almost exactly like the cast recording, you can tell its synthisized, but just barely. I would highly recomend this to anyone who loves Avenue Q

Sesame Street meets "The Graduate" meets Jon Stewart. Avenue Q deserves the awards it has won--it is a brilliant, hilarious,sophisticated, insightful romp that is wise yet cunningly self-deprecating. It is, however, not for those who can't get past the spot on use of XXX language in service of one of the best--and most timely-- comedic masterpieces to hit Broadway in years.

Those intimately familiar with this wonderful show will no doubt enjoy this disc. Unfortunately, with no rehearsal tracks, it can be difficult to get the "timing" of the spoken dialogue down, even with the guiding text. Nice unofficial souvenir of the show.

This is one of the funniest broadway shows I've ever seen. Even if you haven't seen the show, the soundtrack is a must have!
