5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for burners of CDs and DVDs
I recently burned 25 DVDs, all of the same thing. Realizing that I didn't want to give people a DVD that said "Office Depot" on it, I decided on buying a bunch of labels and using them with the spindle I already have.

1.0 out of 5 stars cheap paper
The manufacturer added little "tabs" because these labels are so thin that they tear when you try to remove them from the backing. The tabs don't help much and they don't tear cleanly from the label. A solution to a problem that creates yet another problem. The best solution would be to purchase another brand.

The labels are high quality, as you would expect from Avery-Denison. Even though the package says they are for the CD Stomper, they can be adapted to work with any label maker. These labels are also excellent for use in a printer that is capable of printing on CDs.

1.0 out of 5 stars tearing paper, November 12, 2006
This review is from: Avery 100-labels 98102 Matte White CDlabels for cd Stomper Pro (Office Product)
I went through at least half the pack on wasted jammed paper. I truly have never had a problem with paper going through my printer, but this - frankly - sucked. The stomper software is pretty lousy for bringing in artwork created outside the program, but I got that down after two mis-registered prints. SO I THOUGHT I was finally in the clear- until this cheap backing and paper started ripping in the print feed. How hard does Avery have to work to make a decent product. Jut to be clear- the original stomper paper that came in the pack worked fine through the same printer. So I can only assume the problem is this product. Maybe they "reformulated" the product if they manufactured the original. Probably saves them a buck a pack. Truly a disappointment - and waste of time and ink.

Amazon, you cannot sell CD/DVD labels UNLESS you provide an image of the label layout on the sheet. Avery, Memorex and Stomper all sell various label configurations under their own brand names. Unless you can see a sample sheet, you don't know what you are buying. Amazon, buck up. include a sample layout with every CD/DVD label set you sell.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent labels, easy to use, April 29, 2007

I've used CD Stomper labels, Memorex labels, and no-name generics and I think the CD Stomper labels come out ahead in terms of ease-of-use. You basically print them out using the Click-n-Design software from CD Stomper, peel out the label by the tabs, and fit it into the CD Stomper base. After applying the CD to the label and removing it, you simply pull the tabs off and you've got a very nicely labeled CD.

In terms of print quality, I think the CD Stomper paper took better to my inkjet. The Memorex labels were more resistant and didn't print so well.

The only thing you might be apprehensive of, is that the tabs will leave tiny perforations on the edge (because the tabs are meant to be easily pulled off). I noticed this the first time I used a CD Stomper label, but didn't pay much attention to the perforations afterwards.

Overall, these are good labels. I've heard the glossy labels tend to warp the CD/DVD's, so these matte labels should be much safer for your CD/DVD's.

The printer printed fine. The labels fit the CD Stomper. You need to use jet printer vs laser because the laser toner wouldn't stick on the label.

Although these labels were functional, I was disappointed as the paper is far thinner than for similar labels I had purchased previously, and these tended to tear easily.

The labels worked fine. I really like the tabs placed on the labels. Makes it much easier to remove and works great.

These are fine, we dont even use the stomper with them as it is just as easy to stick by hand, once its not hundreds you are doing. It can be difficult to set up your printer to make the print fall where you want on the label, but you will get the hang of it.

I am very pleased with the Brother P-Tough QL-500. The printing lables are a good price for the quantity you get.
