The paper is cheap and when you print off the images they look cheap.

The perforations hardly even work.

They don't even provide a downloadable file with the proper template. In the instructions, you are told to print a copy on white paper and then HOLD IT NEXT to the avery paper to see if it will copy correctly. I could hardly believe it.

Total waste of money.

This paper might make printouts that are postcard size but the paper is nowhere near postcard quality. The paper is thicker than regular paper but nowhere near the thickness of a postcard (almost like a light card stock). If you print on both sides, the paper is actually a bit see through. There is no way you would be able to print these off and put them in the mail like a regular postcard.

That being said, I was aware that these may not be all that thick BUT I was OK with that since the description says that they come with envelopes ("Laser and ink jet postcard sheets with coordinating envelopes are perforated for easy separation"). To my dismay there were NO ENVELOPES in the box when I received them, so I had to order those separately. I reported the issue to Amazon so hopefully they will update the description soon.

In the end I was able to print on both sides with no problems (the perforated parts did not fall apart in my laser on the first go or anything, the paper actually held up quite well). The perforations do rip cleanly as described. The template for word that I downloaded from Avery left something to be desired. It doesn't show you the edges of the postcard in the word document so it is hard to figure out if you are putting things to the edge or not. In the end I played around with it long enough that I finally got what I wanted.

Overall I made do with what I got but I still would have liked the envelopes OR for the paper to be thicker so be sure to consider what you are using these for before purchasing!

Avery has done it again with the creation of teh Avery 5889 Color Laser Postcards. This product is a lifesaver! It's easy to use!

This product works as intended. It was nice that it was shipped directly to me without complication.
