Just to add to the choice of this binder is the color! It is VERY hard to find a 3 inch binder in any color other than black and white. Sometimes you will find a grey or navy, but this is the only time I have found a nice blue. The color is exactly as shown. There is plastic surrounding the binder front, side, and back to allow for paper to be slipped in to for labeling or decorating (whatever your purpose may be). On the inside there are 2 pockets on the front and back covers to allow for loose leaf storage (total of 4 pockets). The rings open to a full 1 1/4 inch when expanded to their fullest, which is WAY more than enough room to add anything you can possibly dream of. It can easily be opened and closed with just 1 finger, which is a huge bonus when you have your hands pull of paper.
I uploaded some pictures I took, if anyone wants more specifics just asks. I know office supplies are hard to judge when purchasing online.
Bought this for a 4th grader whose school required a 3-inch binder for all the students' assignments, homework, etc. It lasted until the end of second quarter and we bought him a new one for the second half of the year. This doesn't seem unreasonable to me for an all-day, every day object. If it had lasted all year, it would have gotten 5 stars.
The rings are easy enough for a small kid to open and close, and if the binder is not over-stuffed, the rings do not come open on their own.
It just barely fits in a regulation-sized backpack--it is annoying for the kid to get in and out of the backpack each day if there is anything else in the backpack.
Incidentally that notebook is a dollar cheaper and has lower reviews. This is not what was described, and I would not have bought it. I put papers in it anyway because I need it right now, and they were getting hung on the ring system immediately, because it does not latch together tightly enough - the exact reason I was replacing my previous notebook. I am very disappointed in this purchase, especially considering it was sold by Amazon directly and not a third party.

This binder is heavy duty without being too heavy. I love it. I bought it to put all of my past schoolwork In to reference later. I couldn't be more happy. Read morePublished 14 days ago by Lacey Ansaldo

My son is using this as his 6th grade binder. It keeps everything together with plenty of pockets and room to spare in the ringed portion. Very sturdy and well-made. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Lindsey Banta

They look heavy duty but they do not feel heavy duty. I will have to see how well they work out after some use.Published 11 months ago by Grace F.
