I have a nice laserjet printer, and my previous online business card order (vistaprint) had terrible print quality, so I decided to try out the Avery. I used to use these when I was young, summer jobs, etc, and I was figuring they had gotten better by now. Yes and no:

The edges are now clean, and break off the main paper very nicely.

However, they are still light and flimsy. They also curl in a little. Perfect for very cheap business cards, or times when you don't need that many (summer jobs), but I wouldn't be able to hand these out among professionals and not feel a little embarrassed. I wish they made heavier/firmer paper, but I can't find any for at home printing anywhere.

One other problem specific to this one is that the cards are adjacent (no buffer area), so I don't recommend printing to the edge, or doing anything that needs to be on the border on these cards. I used their template and either there would be a gap to the bottom graphic or the card below would get a little line on top. It would take a while to get perfect - but the type of people who wouldn't be surprised at receiving this card are probably the same people who wouldn't notice gaps or stray ink. Oh well.

I got the cards home and tryed them out. They worked perfictly and they dont look like I printed them at home. When you do get these cards make sure you go to Avery's site nd get the free software. It will make you whole life easer because the software is made to work with all their prodects.

These are really great business cards to use if you plan on keeping a white background on your cards. However, if you plan on having a background image or color extend all the way to the edge of the card, it is nearly impossible to get the printing position correctly. So if you plan on just having a white background, or a white border on your cards, these are great.

I'm actually a travel agent, and I purchased these to use in plastic luggage tags that I give to my clients. They work just fine. I do find that the edges look a little better than other brands that I've tried, though because of the way I use them, that's not as much of an issue for me, it certainly would be if you're actually using them as your business card. On other brands, you will sometimes see a little "fiber" around the card, and you don't see that with these.

I took a chance on this product after reading several not-so-favorable reviews. My reasoning was that I have a very nice four-color laser printer and figured maybe the alignment issues mentioned in other reviews were due to misaligned heads or cheaper printers with lazy feeders. Wrong. I have the same issues with alignment. One page will print fine and the next will not, this is really due to the fact that even off-set presses have alignment issues but are corrected in the trimming. Trying to print within such exacting parameters on every page just doesnt work well at all for single sheet fed printers. I have resorted to buying simple card stock and will print cards with corner guides and use a guillotine cutter to line it up right.

I have been using this particular brand for my business cards and have had no problems at all. I have seen some of the negative reviews and my guess is they tried to use them with ink jet printers (print quality issues) or low-end printers (feed problems). I use good quality HP color laser printers and I have never had a feed problem, nor a color bleed problem. The printing does not wear off of them like on some other business card stock. And the weight of the card stock is equivalent to decent quality business cards. The edges break cleanly - no indications that the cards were made from sheets. I highly recommend this product.

Avery makes the best business cards, particularly the no-perf variety. To be able to get these cards at less than half price - including shipping - was a real blessing to our church. I would recommend shopping at Amazon for the best deals.

Once I got the right form to use in Word, it was fairly simple to get the business cards looking exactly the way I wanted. After printing it was very easy to separate the cards and they look great.

I needed to print business cards for inserting into the slots on the interior pocket of good quality printed folders. Because the contact information on the cards changed every few months, I didn't want to spend $$$ on professionally printed business cards.

For this purpose the Avery Two-Side Printable Clean Edge Business Cards for Inkjet Printers, Matte, White, Pack of 200 (08871) are perfect. Clean breaks between cards, the printing with my desk-top HP Color LaserJet printer is sharp and the cards look good. I also find them great for name tags and use them all the time in Durable Click-Fold Convex Name Badge, Combo-Clip, 25 per Box (8214-19) -- terrific, reusable name badges.

The downside: I have to hand feed them by individual sheets or the printer likes to suck them up in bunches. When I tried using them on the big Canon printers in the copy room, they broke up during the run and I spent a LOT of time finding all the pieces and got to know the innards of our large color printer/copier WAY too well!

So for some purposes, and in small runs, I like these business cards, but I will look for some that are heavier card stock as well, for when I do want to print a temporary business card for someone while waiting for university printers to get us our large order of cards.

This Avery business card stock should be called instant business cards for that it was it truly is. With a few simple steps to set up your word processor file, you can quickly produce as many or as few professional appearing business cards. The page of cards sticks together firmly and goes through the printer (well, mine anyway) without any breaking or jamming. The color sticks as cleanly as it does for any paper. And then, once you have it all printed up, just break the cards out - they come out without any ugly tabs. And voila, you have a group of high quality business cards!

It probably sounds like I am going a bit over the top, right? Well, in fact, just recently I needed some business cards, and I was able to create a batch with this product in a matter of minutes. I was very pleased with the results, and think that this product is tops. I give it my highest recommendations!
