5.0 out of 5 stars Best Value Stylus/Pen I've Found
The Avery Tripleclick is the best value stylus pen combination I've found. While I don't find the pencil particularly useful, it is occasionally handy. The pen is comfortable to write with, and the price is hard to beat.

The only minor problems with it are:
1) the difficulty of finding one retail. Since Amazon offers it, that's no longer a problem...

Nice looking product. Does not work for capacitive touch screens that detect heat (energy). A little frustrating since I read a lot of reviews and must have missed it. Darn.

The Avery Tripleclick is the best value stylus pen combination I've found. While I don't find the pencil particularly useful, it is occasionally handy. The pen is comfortable to write with, and the price is hard to beat.

The only minor problems with it are:
1) the difficulty of finding one retail. Since Amazon offers it, that's no longer a problem.
2) the little cap over the eraser. It tends to come off and get lost.
3) the silver paint tends to eventually wear off, leaving the white plastic underneath. I wish they offered it in black or some other plastic color without the silver paint.
None of these is a show-stopper.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good multi-function pen/pencil/stylus, December 5, 2009

Someone gave me a Bic PhD multi-function similar to this and I lost it and was looking for a replacement. I'm a cheap guy, as in I'd rather do the leg work and research a less expensive alternative if one is available. This is approximately $3 cheaper than the Bic, and I found a couple of things I like better about it versus the others out there.

PROS:
1. Keep on turning - most of these multi-function sets allow you to turn two or three times until you hit the last selection, then you have to turn back to select another. This one allows you to just keep right on turning. Makes it faster to find the tip I want.
2. Tip Identification - most of these types have a dot or code you have to stare at through a microscope to figure out what each tip is. This one has a nice small window with the name seen through it. Makes tip selection easier.
3. Price - for what you're getting, this set has an exceptional price on it.
4. Form and function - to date I've not had an issue with any of the selections - pen, pencil or stylus. I sue this in my car all the time when using my GPS. Great for tapping the screen and not leaving those ugly finger prints all over it.

CONS: Only one - the plastic cap that covers the eraser. I've lost mine somewhere. The darned thing just would not stay on, so now my eraser is exposed all the time. No big deal since it's in the car all the time, but it is somewhat frustrating.

This is the most durable writing instrument I have ever owned. I have had this for four years and it still works great, just like it did when I first opened it. Never again will I use a different pen, pencil, or stylus. Just remember this: Never let anyone borrow it. It will not be returned to you. Trust me. It happened to me twice.

The pen and pencil may be okay, but the stylus doesn't work with Droid cellphone touchscreen - which was one of the main reasons I ordered this. Returning it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Tool, January 7, 2008

I use a Dell Hand Held at work and need a stylus at all times and of course as everyone else a pen. So this little handy tool goes both for me and it is actually easy to grip and I do not get the normal pains in my hand as you do from those tiny little stylus pens. A life saver for sure. Buy this for ease of use and comfort.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Multipen, February 12, 2010

The best thing i like about this pen is that it is ergonomic. Nice fat grip around the bottom. Also the ease of changing the pen from pencil to stylus. Nice attractive design, use it all the time for the stylus on my phone. Pen writes good too but i would prefer a medium point over fine. The window that lets you see what function you are using is a great addition over the other multi-pens.

This was a great idea. Perfect for me because I have big hands and those tiny Stylus are terrible for me. And with this you get the pencil and the pen. I honestly can say that this goes everywhere with me, used daily

5.0 out of 5 stars satisfies my need for a fat stylus, October 26, 2009

This review is from: Avery tripleCLICK Multifunction Pen, Black Ink(49838) (Office Product)
I use a stylus to play chess on a Nintendo DS (and sometimes a Tetris DS game that requires use of a stylus), and my hand was starting to cramp up from holding the skinny stylus that comes with the DS. The Avery TripleCLICK works fine, it feels quite comfortable between my fat fingers, and the fact that it includes a ballpoint (the ink flowed fine right away), a pencil, and an eraser (protected by a cap) is a convenient plus. Based on Avery's reputation I anticipate that it will last a long time. I dropped it on a hard surface and was afraid the stylus tip broke off, but thankfully the fall only caused the pen to retract the tip. The tip is gentle on the surface of the Nintendo DS screen and seems no different in that way than the tip of the stylus that comes with the DS.

I've used skinny styluses for years with PDAs, and now that I know how very comfortable it is to regularly use a stylus with a large gripping surface, I regret not buying one a long time ago. Were I to lose this one I wouldn't hesitate to replace it.

I just purchased this pen, it's not for iPad some of you may already know this but I thought I'd add my 2 cents.
