I love Elixir R's. Great feel, strong brakes, and nice adjustability.
It's worth noting (if you don't know already) that Avid brakes often need to be bled right out of the package. So don't count on just slapping it on and going for a ride - it's likely to need a bleed first. Personally, I'd just invest in a bleed kit - it's not hard and it gets expensive having the shops do it for you (as part of your regular servicing). I marked it down a star for this issue, though it's more just laziness on Avid's part than a real problem with the product. |
