Will last a year of daily use. durable. doesn't squeak (after break in period). good price. I am a repeat user. The softer version is good too. quieter. but this lasts twice as long. good wet/mud dry.

Took out my old pads and put these in with no problem. They fit just right and I used little effort to push them and hear the "click". Easiest if you use a pair of pliers. I have Avid Juicy 7's.

I got into the bad habit of buying cheap pads for my Juicy 7's. Don't do that. All of them I tried were noisy, rough, and did not last very long at all. Worth the money to buy the Avid pads. I bet there are better pads out there than Avid's, but at least these fit right and will be on my bike for a while.

I've tried both the organic and the metalic (sintered) pads. My LBS sold me on the organic pads at one point because they are more quiet. But, after trying the organic for two full sets, I realized the metalic/sintered last twice as long as the organic, maybe longer. I don't have a problem with the metalic pads being noisey unless they are wet after a stream crossing or in need of replacing.

With the organic, I found myself having to do trail side replacement on more than one occasion, as the pad life snuck up on me rather quickly. Not what I want to be doing in the middle of a long sweet singletrack decent when my friends are waiting at the bottom! Grrrr

Buy the sintered pads to save yourself time and money!

These pads took about a ride to break in. They were the cheapest I could find and they seem to be lasting better than I expected.

awesome pads overall - little noisy when cold, but once some heat is built up, the stopping power is awesome and noise is reduced. i'll continue to use the pads for awhile to come!

Good brake pad for avid juicy 7 at a good price. They squeal a bit when they get dusty (after a big climb to the DH transition), but still have good stopping power. I don't know about the longevity, but still better than aftermarket brake pads (I bought disco brakes & they dragged from the start, can't recommend them even at a low pricepoint).

Bought these to replace the pads in my Promax Hornet disc brake pads which came stock on my 2011 Gary Fisher Montare. Not only did they fit perfectly, they resolved my brake slippage and vibration issues without question. Great product but expensive for what they are, hence the 4 star rating.
