I've been riding the same Rocky Mountain Hammer Race MTB since 1996. Through the years I've updated parts. Last year was a full SRAM X9 drivetrain, but I didn't upgrade the brake levers. After installing the Avid Speed Dial 7 Brake Levers I wonder why I waited so long. The brake levers mate perfectly with SRAM shifters for a clean look. Easy to install and great ability to dial in the brake tension to suit your liking. You won't be sorry with this purchase.

These levers are awesome. they work perfectly and are adjustable for modulation. If you have the mechanical avid disc brakes you must get these levers. Best $25 you can spend if you have the bb7's.

I installed this levers onto my heavy tandem bike and can feel an immediate positive difference in braking power. The red knob allows you to adjust the height of the "cable puller" which in turns improves the braking power if you set it at the right height. Amazon sell this lever at the lowest price with free shipping in compare with any where else that I can find....Highly recommend to other bikers!

Not leaps and bounds better then my old brake levers but I needed to replace a broken lever and figured for 20 bucks a pair what the heck (better price then my LBS) . Installation was pretty straight forward, and meh! it's a brake lever.

I replaced the levers on my Genesis V2100 with these because I replaced the gears as well (The V2100 has the brake/gears in the same housing). I don't regret it at all. These levers are high quality and have no hint of fading or bending that were prominent in the stock plastic levers. I have to be a little more careful with the front brake as it is a disc, but it's nothing I can't handle. I like that I can adjust the tension from the front instead of having to adjust the brakes.

Installation was a breeze. I had the old brakes and gears replaced in around 20 minutes, then took it to an LBS to get the gears calibrated (I didn't have the time to do it myself.. And I'm impatient when it comes to adjusting the gears).

The build quality/price ratio is great. These levers are worth a lot more!

These levers work great, they feel better than the brakes that came with my bicycle. They're adjustable and they look pretty good, install was easy, just have to readjust the brake cable. They feel more "solid" than original levers, using the same cantilever brake system. They're priced very well so can't go wrong.

The Avid Speed dial 7 lever set was a good purchase. I'm not a bike mechanic but these brakes seem to be easy to set-up. I'm not going to get crazy on details but I would recommend 'em.

These levers are light and show good performance as well. I consider them to be overpriced, but if you search for levers to fit your disk brakes, you can't find any better

I've had to replace one lever, two different times after my bike simply fell over on the ferry due to rough water. First time the lever bent, the second time (different bike, brand new lever) it broke.

I'm surprised these aren't more durable, but at least I can count on finding a replacement pair for ~$20.

These are excellent levers. They allow precision braking at an affordable cost. I combined these with the avid v brakes and have came out ahead in both performance and wallet size. Plus amazon shipped these overnight so I installed them today in time for my trip on Sunday to big bend national park. The red screw adjusts the fulcrum allowing a soft pull or a harder pull. Easy to install, easy to use. Thank you Amazon and Avid for amazing service and products.
