Product Description

This Aviditi 36AVI motor run capacitor has 50/7.5 microfarads (MFD) +/- 5% dual capacitance at 370 VAC, and a 10,000 amp available fault current (AFC) safety pressure interrupter. The capacitor features three quick-connect blade terminal blocks for two motors, a self-healing metallized polypropylene film dielectric, and a hermetically sealed metal case. This capacitor is Underwriters Laboratories Recognized (UR) for quality assurance and is suitable for use in motor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications.

Capacitors are passive electrical components that temporarily store energy. They come in a variety of sizes and are internally comprised of two metal foils separated by a thin insulating film (dielectric). When selecting a capacitor, consider the capacitance, voltage, and number of terminals needed for your specific applications. Capacitors are used in electrical circuits for commercial and industrial power applications that include electric motors, pumps, air conditioning, compressors, and lighting.

Aviditi manufactures grow tents and lights, blowers and dryers, and ice makers for research, industrial, residential, and educational applications. The company is headquartered in Elkhorn, WI.

These are hard to find locally for me as I'm not a contractor and usually only wholesalers carry them. Glad I could find this one for a good price and save some money by doing it myself. These are pretty easy to switch out, HOWEVER make sure you know what you are doing as you can seriously shock yourself removing the old one if you don't know what you are doing.

After one year, this capacitor exploded in my A/C causing a short circuit and burning my A/C wires. I uploaded the picture.
