As a jock for STAR 102.5 in Buffalo, New York, I can usually get promo copies of CD's I'm interested in. However, the first time I played Avion's 'Seven Days Without You' on the air, I was compelled to stop at Best Buy on my way home from the studio to pick up the band's debut CD. Well, that disc hasn't come out of my CD player in my truck yet! It's rare nowadays that you'll buy a CD & love listening to every track, but that's definitely the case with Avion's CD. In addition to 'Seven Days', I also love 'It Falls Back on Me', 'The Best is Yet to Come'(both would make GREAT radio singles!), 'Beautiful', & 'Perfect From Now On'. On July 3rd, Avion kicked off 'Uncle Sam's Jam', a two-day free concert on the steps of Buffalo's City Hall which ended with The Goo Goo Dolls performing for a live DVD recording. I had the pleasure & honor of introducing Avion on stage, & have to say it was the best performance of the weekend! Steve Bertrand's vocals are incredible live, and the rest of the band is made up of amazingly talented & polished musicians! And as if that weren't enough, they're the most down to earth, genuine artists I've ever met! And I've been in radio for 20 years!(I started VERY young!) Do yourself a favor & pick up Avion's CD so we can make sure they record many more!

This CD is full of pop hits. The first time I heard it I was surprised at the lyrical content. The second time I heard it I was singing along with "Seven Days Without You" like I had heard it a 1000 times before. The third time I listened to this CD I was surprised by the "stickyness" of the sound. With hits like Loved, Seven Days, Beautiful and more..., this CD is sure to climb the charts. Avion will sell a million albums if they can get some good exposure. Nice work Avion.

Avion is one of the best bands I have ever heard. Not only are they musically talented they also have amazing lyrics. Steve Bertrand is an incredable writer/frontman. Look, he goes from a successful career with the Tories, to an experimental one solo, where he all the songs on the album, then to bringing in Avion to back him up and bring forth a musical force that cannot be messed with. Alternative rock will never be the same after Steve Bertrand and Avion are done. This self-titled debut album is packed with powerful ballads and love songs (such as Seven Days Without You)and mixed with rock songs (Bulletproof Glow). In my opinion, this is one of the best albums to date. If you don't go out and buy this album, you're going to regret it. This album is good for all types of people from young to old from metalheads to jr. high girls and everything inbtween.

This band has really put something together here. When you can combine great lyrics and undeniable melodies, you've got a hit. Avion appear to have about 13 hits here. This is music that I wouldn't mind flooding the air waves, because it's insightful, not just pop poop. Keep it going guys.

If I was stranded on an island only to take one album with me, this would be the one.
